Emily in Paris – Season 5 Episode 7 1

Emily's dismay is palpable as she confronts Marcello in front of the assembled press, who are there to witness her professional triumph. Marcello, unapologetic, shares his decision to forge a new path, leaving the past behind.

After the conference wraps up, a new client, Rolin of Apogee Waters, approaches Sylvie with a proposition for a brand rejuvenation. The Agence Grateau team gathers to discuss Marcello's bold move, their reactions a microcosm of the industry's buzz.

Meanwhile, at Emily's apartment, Mindy invites her to join Nico for dinner with Marcello, hoping to rekindle the spark between them. Emily, however, chooses to play the waiting game, convinced that Marcello will make the first move.

Sylvie, on the other hand, attends a dinner party hosted by Yvette, where she is introduced to a Swiss-German chocolatier. Yvette encourages her to move on, but Sylvie's boredom with the conversation finds its escape in the form of a cigarette. She stumbles upon Beau, who happens to have the last packet of her favorite brand. A chance encounter leads to an unexpected evening of intimacy and revelation for Sylvie.

The next day, Emily joins Mindy, Nico, and Marcello for a horseback ride, providing them with a private moment to clear the air between them. As they ride, Emily and Marcello engage in a heart-to-heart conversation, each seeking to understand the other's perspective.

Marcello apologizes for not reaching out sooner, but things go awry when Emily loses control of the horse, leading to a rescue effort from Marcello. Despite his heroics, Emily remains displeased with him. At work, Sylvie receives personalized chocolates from the chocolatier as a gift. The team tries them and instantly dislikes them, leaving Sylvie feeling embarrassed. She informs the group about their meeting with Rolin from Apogee Waters, who Julien accuses of being homophobic and reluctant to work with.

Rolin arrives for the meeting, and the group discusses ideas for a brand makeover. Julien is unhappy with Rolin and suggests he apologize for the controversy Apogee Waters was involved in. Rolin refuses to apologize for a mistake made by his ancestors. Emily suggests a complete rebranding to let go of the previous brand image and embrace a new one. Julien is shocked to discover that Rolin himself is gay, now more interested in him, and suggests a relaunch of the packaged water brand at the upcoming Paris Pride parade. Rolin is impressed with the idea.

Later that evening, Sylvie hooks up with Beau again, keeping the relationship casual without exchanging personal details. The next day, Mindy is called to perform for Apogee Waters' rebranding as Libid'eau (translated as Sexy Water) at the Pride march. Mindy appreciates the sexual innuendo in the name and puts on a show with Nico and Marcello, spraying water on the attendees to promote Libid'eau.

Mindy encourages Emily to talk to Marcello and clear things up between them. Meanwhile, Sylvie meets Yvette for drinks and talks about her new much younger male partner. At the Pride march, Emily and Marcello apologize to each other and make up with a kiss, ending the episode on a positive note.
