Forever – Season 1 Episode 2 1

Upon realizing that Justin harbors feelings for the charming Black girl from his elementary school days, Dawn softens her stance. She agrees to reinstate his phone privileges upon completion of his homework. This newfound incentive propels Justin to swiftly finish his assignments and reclaim his beloved device. However, Keisha, mistakenly believing Justin to be ignoring her, has once again blocked him.

The next day at school, Justin resorts to using Darius' phone to reach out to Keisha. During basketball practice, frustration mounts as the coach fails to recognize Justin's full capabilities. This year is crucial for Justin, necessitating his absolute best. Compounding his challenges, Justin struggles with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADH), which hinders his concentration during exams. Though granted extra time by his teacher, Justin proudly declines the accommodation.

During his driving lessons, fate intervenes as Justin spots Keisha alongside the road, picking up trash near the baseball field where his brother practices. He approaches her, eager to explain the recent misunderstandings. Keisha, initially defensive, retorts with her own barbs. Their playful teasing escalates, but a misinterpretation arises when Justin says something that Keisha misunderstands as a reference to her sex tape. Stung by the perceived insult, she storms off.

Justin chooses to linger in the background, observing his younger brother Jaden as he diligently practices. Meanwhile, Keisha returns, having received Justin's messages relayed through Darius's account. Justin expresses his apologies once more, clarifying his previous statement and elucidating his reasons for halting their fellatio during their date; he didn't want her to believe she owed him anything because of the gift. Keisha opens her heart, revealing how deeply the sex tape has impacted her, while her mother remains oblivious to Christian's betrayal in leaking it. The two manage to mend their rift, but their reunion is interrupted by Keisha's aunt, Brittany.

Brittany escorts Keisha back home, where the topic of conversation shifts to Christian. He has sent her flowers, sparking excitement among everyone that he might be planning a promposal. Shelly notices Keisha's lack of enthusiasm for the flowers and inquiries if there are any issues between her and Christian. Keisha lies, preferring not to delve into the reasons for her falling out with Christian. Shelly counsels her to play hard to get with Christian, thinking it will help her win him over. Christian's burgeoning NBA career fills Shelly with optimism for her daughter's future.

The next morning, Keisha rises early to train with Joe. Post-training, Justin calls, urging her to confront Christian head-on. Keisha declines, explaining that she'll discuss it with her mother instead. She starts to regret rekindling her relationship with Justin and asks him to find someone else.

Later, Chloe steps in with her advice, urging Keisha not to push away a great guy like Justin due to her experiences with Christian. Taking Chloe's words to heart, Keisha attends Jaden's game. Justin is delighted to see her and introduces her to Dawn, who is thrilled that her son is dating a Black girl she knows. Unexpectedly, Shelly arrives with Christian, turning the atmosphere awkward in an instant. Christian requests a private conversation with Keisha.

Justin watches in near tears as Christian plants pecks on Keisha's cheeks, his heart wrenching with each affectionate gesture. Noticing his son's distress, Justin's mom, with a compassionate heart, swiftly agrees to whisk him away to his game early, hoping to ease his pain. By the conclusion of Keisha's conversation with Christian, Justin and Dawn have already departed, leaving behind a lingering sense of abandonment. Dawn sends him a text, inquiring about his whereabouts, but he remains silent, unable or unwilling to respond. In a firm tone, Dawn conveys to Justin that she will not tolerate him being treated with such disrespect.
