Meanwhile, Justin's world is crumbling under the weight of expectations. His parents' high hopes, his coach's blindness to his potential, and the stress of upcoming meetings overwhelm him. His academic performance suffers, with a low GPA threatening his prospects of attending elite universities sans his basketball credentials. Amidst this turmoil, he considers reaching out to Keisha for solace. Delighted to receive his message, they arrange to meet at Jaden's practice game, a beacon of hope amidst their tumultuous lives.
Once their paths crossed again, Justin poured out his heart, confessing his bewilderment about his future. Keisha, sensing his turmoil, urged him to curb his overthinking and encouraged him to play the game for his own satisfaction. The conversation subtly shifted towards Christian, and this time, Keisha openly admitted her plan to attend prom with him. She had accepted Christian's prom invitation after Justin had made it abundantly clear that he was moving on. However, Justin's return presented her with an ultimatum she was ill-prepared to handle. Keisha was hesitant to reveal to her mother the real reason behind her change of heart regarding the prom. Their disagreement soon escalated into a loud argument, drawing Joe into the fray.

They reconciled and passionately kissed on the train, lost in their moment. In the end, Justin missed the party, but his heart wasn't troubled in the slightest.
