Jim began his transmission, but as the rain poured down, a voice crackled over the radio, admonishing Jim for Tabitha's excavations.
Back at the house, Tabitha breached the basement floor, plummeting into a gaping hole where Victor awaited her. He warned her of the urgency to move, as it was their refuge. Jim returned to the house, only to find Tabitha vanished and the floor collapsed beneath him.
A bus rumbled into the town, heralding a new chapter in this strange and tumultuous tale.
