Kenny, with a determined look, confides to Boyd his plan to venture deeper into the forest's mysteries, seeking a way back home. However, his resolve is quickly overshadowed by an unexpected adverse reaction. Jim informs Tabitha that the cords in the house are lifeless, their plugs mere ornaments. Jade arrives, her eyes focused on the task, and enlists Jim's aid. Together, they embark on a journey to Jade's car, stripping it for parts before finding a towering tree to affix the antenna.

Khatri confronts Sara with questions about the voices, and she reveals that they spoke of a desire to return home. The voices, she says, foretold events like the arrival of two vehicles on the same day. Khatri urges her to find a way to prove the voices' authenticity to Boyd.

Tabitha carries the box of belongings to the diner's storage room, where a glint of metal catches her eye. She discovers a bracelet, a cherished memory, and takes it with her. Jade, meanwhile, notices a sinister symbol etched on the tree Jim is scaling, along with the ghastly sight of dead bodies dangling from its branches. A soldier suddenly emerges, chasing Jade into the depths of the woods. Just as the danger seems imminent, Jim arrives, his presence a beacon of hope, and brings Jade back to safety.

Later, Jade sits quietly, his mind replaying the terrifying symbol he witnessed. He sketches it onto paper, and Mrs. Liu shows him a notebook in the storage room, its pages adorned with the same mysterious symbol. Jim returns home, the radio crackling with static, its promise of communication cut short.

Sara, lost in a world of her own, draws a picture inspired by the voices' whispers. It depicts Khatri burying a bag, a prophetic vision now realized. Khatri digs into the soil, uncovering the bag from a field, a testament to the voices' authenticity.

At Colony House, a man gently opens the window curtains, revealing a monster clutching a bouquet he had left for his beloved. She inquiries about when she will be invited inside, her voice filled with both hope and uncertainty.
