The second episode of "FUBAR" resumes right where the first left off, with Boro and his henchmen storming in, demanding to uncover the collaborators of Luke and Emma. As William's daughter trembles under the barrel of a gun, Luke buys them crucial seconds by revisiting the harrowing final moments of Boro's father. Suddenly, a helicopter looms overhead, unleashing a hail of bullets upon their adversaries. Yet, Boro slips away unscathed, while Emma, with a smug grin, saves Luke's life by taking down one of the thugs herself, proudly boasting about her top marks in marksmanship.
Twenty-four hours later, CIA Director Dot decrees that Emma and Luke must join forces for future missions aimed at capturing Boro, given their shared involvement in this operation. Dot sharply points out that Emma's impulsive and arrogant demeanor could have led to the deaths of fellow agents. Recall the mysterious silence on Panda's communication channels? Dot confides in Luke that Emma was the one who deliberately turned them off, driven by her desperate bid to retrieve the nuke.
Predictably, Emma and Luke clash, with Emma scorching her father with accusations of botching their family life, just as he botched this case. Left with no alternative, Luke reluctantly heads back to Barry to hack into Donnie's laptop, hoping to uncover more about the man courting his ex-wife. Amidst Luke's humorous misuse of the term "cuckold," he also discovers that Donnie is investing in his son's MyAisle app.
A briefing session is convened at work, where they are introduced to Tina Mukerji, an analyst loaned from the NSA. Tina's own issues with her father echo those of Emma and Luke. The team learns that Boro, who had tried to fake his death, is very much alive and seemingly en route to somewhere in Eastern Europe or Asia. His auction continues, hinting at his plans to assemble another nuke briefcase.
Later, the team discovers that Boro has ventured into Kazakhstan, aiming to transfer a tanker-load of Cesium 137, being conveyed by a sleek Maglev train. Their sole objective becomes an audacious bid to halt the train, siphon the radioactive waste into a tanker truck, and make a swift exit. Each member embarks on this perilous mission in disguise.
Meanwhile, Luke and Emma find themselves compelled to participate in mandatory therapy sessions with Dr. Louis Pfeffer, the operational psychologist. As the resident analyst, his presence stirs up even more tension between the father-daughter duo, especially since Luke is the one overseeing this critical case.
That evening, a family dinner ensues, filled with hilarity but ultimately concludes on a sour note with Luke leaving in disappointment, while Barry's ice cream cupcakes, brought by Donnie, are carelessly tossed into the bushes. This tumultuous evening is followed by therapy, which likewise fails to unfold as smoothly as hoped.
As 9 pm strikes, the group gears up for their clandestine operation. Luke offers Emma a rare commendation for noticing a discrepancy in his equipment, while Emma grapples with the guilt of deceiving her boyfriend about embarking on yet another dangerous mission.
In the bustling ambiance of a crowded train carriage, Luke, a supposed professional, discreetly yet blatantly touches his earpiece, engaging in hushed conversations with Barry about an operation codenamed "Don." His actions couldn't be more overt if he tried; it was as if he was waving a red flag. Just then, Emma enters the scene, sharp-eyed and observant, pointing out inconsistencies among the fellow passengers, notably someone indulging in pork despite the restrictions. However, Luke dismisses her concerns, insisting she hold her position for the time being.
As the train approaches a strategic chokepoint, Luke springs into action with the urgency of a storm, his strategy interrupted by the sudden arrival of a helicopter looming overhead, poised to airlift Celsium 137. Emma, increasingly frustrated, notices that the seemingly unassuming BLT-munching individual in the corner is actually an undercover agent, a revelation she had foreshadowed earlier in their journey.
Determined to thwart Boro, who commands the helicopter above, Luke and Emma devise a plan to accelerate the train. However, Barry, still engrossed in espionage on Donnie, mishandles the communication, leading to a catastrophic misunderstanding. This mix-up prompts Luke to propel the train at breakneck speed, hurtling them both towards impending doom.
