FUBAR – Season 2 Episode 1 1

The team has been confined to their safe house for months, awaiting clearance from the CIA. The extended isolation has understandably heightened tensions among them. Roo, Aldon, and Donnie strive to find solace in their current circumstances, while Luke and Tally's relationship experiences a slight improvement, albeit modest.

Luke ventures outdoors to meet with Dot, who divulges their next target: terrorist Dante Cress. Cress, a man convinced that humanity requires a drastic overhaul, intends to initiate this reset by decimating 90% of the global population. Their only lead is Cress's intention to put his radical theory into action, with no substantial evidence to pinpoint his plans.

Dot entrusts Luke with decrypting intercepted messages and uncovering Cress's schemes before it's too late. Tragically, her mission is cut short when mercenaries storm the scene, gunning down anyone in their path. They possess a kill list targeting individuals from the safe house, but Emma, accompanied by Roo and Aldon, arrives just in time to thwart the assailants.

Following the attack, Interim Director Reed arrives at the safe house to debrief the team. He reveals that the men slain in the square belonged to a New Zealand gang and demands the thumb drive containing crucial intelligence. Reed leaves empty-handed, his request firmly denied.

Once the director departs, Luke and his team uncover a starting revelation: Cress has wired a quarter of a billion dollars to a former agent named Theodore Chips, a man described as utterly insane, tasked with bringing down the entire American power grid. This act would precipitate the collapse of the US economy, potentially heralding the end of civilization as we know it.

Amidst the CIA's temporary turmoil, Tina persists in her role as a mole for the Russians, undetected by Barry, who, though suspicious, refrains from confronting her just yet. Instead, he uncovers intelligence suggesting that Chips is poised to strike at the Beaumont Lake Power Plant, planning to unleash an Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP). With the clock ticking down to four crucial hours before detonation, Barry and Tally strategize from a safe distance, while the rest of the team rushes to intercept Chips at the plant.

Upon arrival, they find themselves engaged in a fierce firefight with Chips' henchmen. Emma, amidst the chaos, locates the EMP device. Just as Chips appears, drawn into a combative yet strangely captivated spat with Emma, he manages a narrow escape. With the shutters sealing their exit, the team improvises, opting to expel the EMP through submerged ventilation fans. The bomb detonates underwater, yet Luke surfaces unscathed, a testament to their daring plan.

Back at their base for a debriefing, Luke unveils a bombshell: the detonator bears the distinctive wiring hallmark of Bashir the Builder, the mastermind behind the device used in the Partago assassination, a case intertwined with Dante Cress. This revelation dates back to 2012, a time when Chips was still a loyal agent of MI6, suggesting a deeper, intricate conspiracy.

Their next course of action leads them to India, where Luke believes Tina, accompanied by Aldon, should conduct reconnaissance. Oblivious to Tina's duplicitous activities, they embark on this mission unaware of her true allegiances.

To further complicate matters, Luke and Emma's journey takes an unexpected turn as they encounter an unwelcome yet familiar face from their past – Greta, whose reappearance stirs up a cacophony of memories and unresolved tensions.
