The fifth episode of FUBAR's gripping second season kicks off with Luke and Emma confronted with an ultimatum: halt the army's advance towards Mission Control at any cost. Their perilous decision to fortify their position within the tank places them on a collision course with treason, as they valiantly strive to buy precious time for their teammates.

FUBAR – Season 2 Episode 5 1

Amidst the tension, Farkas reaches out to Luke through a covert channel, dropping a bombshell about Tina receiving funds from Moscow. Yet, Luke brushes aside his intelligence, dismissing it as insignificant. Their focus, however, sharpens dramatically when they become aware of anti-tank missiles lurking outside, forcing them to rely solely on Chips' expertise to distract the missiles using a radio.

In the vast expanse of space, Barry encounters a critical hurdle when he discovers a bullet has breached the exterior hardware during takeoff. Faced with the daunting task of physically connecting with the satellite, Barry must pilot this daring maneuver. Any miscalculation, any deviation from the precise angle, could spell certain doom for him.

Meanwhile, the power plant undergoes evacuation, but fatefully, Greta, disguised among the soldiers aiding the evacuation, sneaks back in as the facility empties. As Barry executes a daring maneuver to nudge the satellite off its collision course, narrowly escaping death, Tina's distant assistance with complex mathematical calculations proves crucial. Her awareness of the altered weight due to Russian spy equipment on the satellite underscores her involvement.

Tragically, despite their best efforts, the power plant falls victim to Greta's sinister plot, with explosives reducing it to ruins. Though three more plants remain, Barry's heroic feat is tarnished by this loss.

Later that night, Greta communicates with Luke over the comm system, unaware that Emma eavesdrops from just outside the door. During their conversation, Greta casually mentions the satellite, prompting Luke and Emma to swiftly connect the dots, realizing Tina's true colors as a double agent.

Emma confronts Luke before they break the devastating news to Barry, voicing her concerns about his burgeoning relationship with Greta. She warns that Greta's influence over him might be deeper than he realizes, particularly noting his indifference to Tally's heartbreak following their breakup.

More urgent concerns arise, centered around Tina. She is promptly apprehended and subjected to interrogation, yet this action only plunges Barry into a deeper tailspin. The ramifications of Tina's involvement also extend to the position of Regional Director, casting a shadow of doubt over Barry's connection to the entire saga. Consequently, he is removed from the investigation and faces questioning himself.

Fortunately, Barry's laptop remains powered on and unsecured, providing the team with a vital clue upon their return to the Safe House. An ear-piercing alarm blares from the speakers, drawing their attention to suspicious dark web activity - specifically, an offer of $10 million for the expedited modification of a drone. Greta's fingerprints are unmistakable here, prompting Luke to assign Aldon, noted for his fluency in Turkish, to delve deeper into the matter. The linchpin in this web of intrigue is a figure known as "The Great Dane," but a hitch arises when they discover he was granted parole earlier in the day.

Emma deduces that Greta orchestrated his early release in exchange for the modified drone. They swiftly track him down to his Vancouver residence, where they uncover evidence that he outfitted the drone to withstand extreme pressure, indicating an underwater assault on the next power plant. Kodiak Island emerges as the likely target, with an underwater cable stretch of 100 meters near the Gutierrez Trench pinpointed as her intended point of attack.

With Reed declining to assist in thwarting Greta, Luke suspects him of being compromised. He further contemplates that Director Reed's uncanny ability to ascend the ranks may harbor deeper concerns. This could explain his perpetual one-step-ahead advantage, yet lacking concrete evidence beyond hearsay, their hands are tied for now.

Meanwhile, Carter and Aldon find themselves in a race against time to retrieve Tally, who had gone to celebrate Romi's birthday at a nearby pizza parlor. They decide to bring Chips and Hamsteak along, successfully tracing her to her location. However, their mission takes an unexpected turn as they find themselves confronted by the Swedish mafia. Oh dear!

Emma, accompanied by The Great Dane and Luke, board a submersible and descend into the Trench. Though they do not uncover a bomb, they discover tampering with the fiber-optic cables. Emma realizes that it's Stuxnet, a virus designed to shut down the power plant. Greta's virus is poised to activate upon a system reboot, making every second crucial.
