Furies: Resistance - Season 2 Episode 1 1

A flashback to 30 years ago in Sarajevo elucidates the origins of the Damocles' reign and their mysterious leader, Oz. It's revealed that no one has ever laid eyes on his true face in 30 years, as anyone who dares to do so is relentlessly hunted down and eliminated.

In the present, Lyna infiltrates a drag racing operation under the Damocles' orders to kidnap Franco. They seek him alive to glean information about his sister, Blanche, who might have caught a glimpse of Oz at some point. The abduction ensues with a high-speed chase involving Franco's men, who are subsequently killed by the Damocles. Lyna then transports Franco to Damocles' new headquarters, which happens to be Driss Arago's former HQ, where she hands him over to Anton Varda. Orso is part of the crew at the new HQ.

Meanwhile, Elie and his new partner, Iris, are investigating the murders of Franco's men. Elie has taken over as the new team leader, and the other members are not pleased with him following Ketno's death. The police force has yet to identify her killer since Elie didn't tell the truth in his report. Commander Tossar has taken over as the new lead in the case.

Elsewhere, Selma is picked up from her home by another Damocles leader and taken to the Clandestine Laboratory, which used to belong to the Olympians. She is forced to shoot three former members in the head to test her loyalty. One of them runs from her, and she reluctantly tracks him down to the lockers. She convinces him to come out of the lockers and die with dignity, promising that she will make the Damocles pay.

After she completes her task and heads back to the group, just as the three minutes allotted are up, she runs into Fixer, Simon. He's not pleased about having to work for the Damocles, and Selma assures him that she has a plan involving a meeting with the Belgian, Carny's right-hand man.

Before turning over Franco, he shared with Lyna the tale of his sister, Blanche, and her reason for hiding—the fear that she might reveal Oz's identity. Lyna, moved by this revelation, visited her mother, only to be pursued by the Damocles. Amytis, unfazed by the threat of the Damocles, asserted her ability to defend herself.

Later, Selma met with Capon, the Belgian. She expressed her disinterest in working for the Damocles and her awareness of the sealed fate of her former foes—the freelance gang families in the inner suburbs and greater Paris. Her plan was to rally them to her side and resist the Damocles.

In parallel, Lyna arranged a meeting with Elie. They struck a deal: Lyna would act as a police informant and help take down Oz and the Damocles in exchange for her freedom and that of her friends, including Selma, Simon (Fixer), and Niko (Mudman). Elie agreed to discuss her plan with the higher-ups.

Back at HQ, Varda tortured Franco in an attempt to discover Blanche's whereabouts. The former Furies were pitted against each other in a battle for a spot in the legion, as a vacancy had arisen. Amidst the chaos of their fights, Lyna sneaked in and discovered from Franco that Blanche was hiding at The Imperial. He begged her to kill him, but Varda's arrival forced her to flee.

At the police station, Elie grappled with the aftermath of Ketno's death, the gunshots still ringing in her ears. Tossar suspected something fishy had occurred, questioning the report Elie had written. He couldn't quite pinpoint what was amiss but agreed to speak to the higher-ups when Elie mentioned Lyna's idea.

Later, Lyna convened Selma, Niko, and Simon. She shared her knowledge of Blanche's ability to identify Oz. They embraced her plan, but Selma harbored a more sinister intention—to kill Oz and use the freelancers to dismantle the Damocles. Elie overheard their conversation.

Lyna tried to persuade Selma that going after the Damocles would be deadly. She tried to sell the idea that she didn't have to do the dirty work, but Selma was adamant in her acceptance of it.

Lyna confronts Selma about the circumstances surrounding Driss's death, prompting her to confess that she had already shot him in the stomach, making it impossible for him to be saved. Selma took the shot to shield herself from the psychological trauma of having killed her own father. Meanwhile, at HQ, Franco's conscience finally gets the better of him, and he spills the beans about Blanche's whereabouts.

At The Imperial, Lyna, Niko, Selma, and Simon make their way into Blanche's room, where a shocking revelation awaits them. The person Damocles is actually after is a child, Leon, who has the unique ability to identify Oz.

As the episode draws to a close, Damocles arrives at The Imperial. Elis warns Lyna of their impending arrival. Blanche is shot; Niko carries her out as Leon leads them to the back exit. Using the gasoline that Simon had strategically sprayed on the floor through the hotel vents, Selma ignites the floor, setting it ablaze. Orso saves Varda by pushing him through a door just in time.

This climactic scene paints a vivid picture of the tense and chaotic situation, with each character's actions and decisions driving the plot forward and adding depth to their respective motivations and personalities.
