Episode 1 of Furies season 1 erupts in the vibrant and bustling cityscape of Paris, 1999. The thrilling introduction introduces us to an enigmatic assassin, known only as The Fury, a femme fatale deeply embedded in the shadowy criminal underworld. She gracefully navigates the claustrophobic underground passageways, her movements as effortless as the hail of bullets she unleashes, dispatching her targets with ruthless coldness.

The narrative shifts seamlessly to the present, where Lyna floats on a cloud of happiness, seemingly unaware of the storm brewing on the horizon. Her partner, Elie, a dedicated policeman, stands as a beacon of stability in her chaotic world, despite her parents' disapproval of their relationship due to their criminal pasts.

As Lyna eagerly prepares to celebrate her birthday, an unexpected phone call from Mr. Laroche, the banker, shatters the illusion of tranquility. His chilling revelation that her account has been frozen hints at the impending drama that is about to unfold.

Unbeknownst to Lyna, her father, a notorious figure in the Parisian underworld as the accountant of the criminal elite, has secretly transferred a staggering sum of 2 million euros into her account as a birthday gift. This unexpected windfall has understandably raised alarms at the bank, but Lyna remains oblivious.

Despite the looming shadow of this revelation, Lyna presses on with her birthday celebrations, gathering with her parents at their home. As she leans over the cake, her heart filled with joy and anticipation, ready to blow out the candles and make a wish, a deafening gunshot shatters the silence. The air is ripped apart by the sound, and in an instant, her father's life is claimed.

Blood splatters across the once-pristine white cake, staining it with a grim reminder of the violence that plagues their world. Lyna is thrown into a state of shock and anguish, forced to endure the agony of watching her father's life ebb away before her eyes. The celebrations have turned into a nightmare, and Lyna's world is shattered in an instant.

Lyna's journey takes a tragic turn when she winds up at the police station, only to learn that her mother is still alive. This revelation, though small, offers her a glimmer of hope in the midst of despair. However, the news that her father's death was likely the handiwork of The Fury shatters her heart. Matters worsen when Lyna herself is incarcerated for her efforts, struggling to survive amidst the harsh realities of prison life.

Despite her efforts to adapt and improve through practice, the tragic loss of her father is quickly forgotten by the authorities. To many of the officers, it's a relief to no longer have to deal with his criminal past. Left alone and without any recourse for justice, Lyna is forced to endure the hardships of prison life.

Five months pass, and Lyna remains incarcerated. Her temper flares when she is assaulted by a prison guard, the same one who had sexually abused her months earlier. In a moment of rage, she lashes out, striking the guard with a metal tray. As a result, she is sent to solitary confinement.

However, this isolation becomes a turning point for Lyna. She stumbles upon a book in the prison library labeled "Self-Defence" and devours its contents. This book transforms her, empowering her to defend herself and stand tall amidst the challenges of prison life.

Eventually, Lyna is released from prison, but she avoids any confrontation with Elie, who unexpectedly appears with a large teddy bear. Instead, she rushes to see her mother, who now sits in a wheelchair, her memory erased by amnesia. This revelation only fuels Lyna's resolve to uncover the truth about her father's death. She is determined to find out who was responsible and why. And so, her journey begins, following the trail of money that may lead her to the answers she seeks.

The news that Lyna is pursuing The Fury doesn't take long to reach her ears. She absorbs the information calmly, adding the surveillance photo to the gallery of images already hanging on her wall. She assures her subordinate, The Fixer, that she'll keep a close watch on the situation.

Meanwhile, Lyna impulsively finds herself seated at a blackjack table, where the stakes are higher than just money. The loser risks not only their fortune but also their hand, which is brutally smashed with a hammer. Six hammer cards lurk in the deck, and, fearing the worst, Lyna devises a distraction and flees the table. However, Orso, the man in charge, realizes he's the one who lost the game and becomes intrigued by her.

Despite managing to slip away, Lyna is inundated with over 200 frantic texts from Elie, who has been waiting anxiously for her to contact him. She eventually spends the evening with him, allowing him to celebrate her birthday. But in the dead of night, Lyna rises and departs, leaving a scribbled note on the wall. She decides they need 48 hours of separation before they can start afresh.

With a plan in mind to lure out The Fury, Lyna discovers that the money she's been tracking is being transported in rubbish trucks. She stages a diversion, leaping onto a bridge and diving onto the roof of the vehicle. The truck crashes, and she commandeers the wreckage. But instead of taking the money, she plants a GPS tracker, hoping to trace its movements. The Fixer quickly deduces Lyna's strategy, and the game is once again afoot.

As the man frantically dismantled the trackers, Lyna's position was suddenly exposed, thanks to Fixer's henchmen emerging from across the river. Despite the danger, Lyna displayed remarkable resilience, taking down two of the assailants with precision and determination. Little did she know, however, that the blonde woman who earlier handed her a cookie by the shore was none other than The Fury herself, a figure who seemed to possess intricate knowledge of the criminal underworld, including its intricate hierarchy.

Following a trail of clues, Lyna eventually arrived at The Fury's lair. She discovered a concealed compartment in the wall and a locked crate, which she managed to pry open with bolt-cutters, revealing a stash of files containing detailed information about her family. Unfortunately, at that moment, her phone rang, a blaring interruption that caught The Fury's attention. The worst part? Lyna had forgotten to put her phone on silent.

It turned out that The Fury had been orchestrating Lyna's entire plan from the moment she was in prison, even planting the inmate she had fought as a pawn in her game. Although Fury believed Lyna was working for someone else, not as a rogue agent, one thing was clear - The Fury had not killed her father. But why?

The revelation unfolded in a shocking turn of events. It seemed that a vast criminal war was raging beneath the surface, and a mysterious figure named "Jellyfish" was somehow involved. When The Fixer made his appearance, Lyna, with tears streaming down her face, made a startling confession - she was now working for The Fury.
