In the fifth episode of Season 2 of "Gangas of Galicia," the narrative unfolds with tension and intrigue. Laura's relentless pursuit of Ana's whereabouts begins as she monitors her phone, while Ana remains trapped in the boot of one of Paco's men, bound for an unknown destination to meet her mother and daughter.

As they arrive at a parking lot, they switch cars with Modesto, one of Macario's men, who drives her to the house where her mother and Sara are waiting. Ana's reunion with them is filled with joy, and she assures her mother that they will be free within weeks since she's ahead of schedule. Despite the risks, Ana still trusts that Macario will keep his word once the deal is done.
At the police station, Daniel struggles to reach Ana through his lawyer, Silva, who is also acting as his legal representative. Paco's concern for Daniel's arrest is palpable, but Padin brushes it off confidently, insisting that he will speak to Pepe's neighbors to clear the air. Paco's internal panic is brief but not unnoticed by Padin, who senses something amiss.
Later, Paco calls Germán to double-check that no one saw him kill Pepe. Germán assures him that no one did, but Padin's suspicion lingers. Paco orders Germán to lure Toño quickly and get the plan rolling. Meanwhile, Toño and Silva report to Padin that none of Pepe's neighbors saw anything, adding to Padin's growing pressure. He urges Toño to focus on getting in with Germán, worried that Daniel's focus on Ana is endangering their business.
As the night wears on, Laura grows increasingly worried about Ana's safety when she can't reach her. Fortunately, Ana is safe with Sara and her mother. She intentionally leaves her laptop unlocked in front of the CCTV cameras so that Modesto can see her password. The next morning, Modesto logs into her laptop and copies everything onto a USB drive.
In a legal twist, Silva points out that the police have no business holding Daniel and Nilo for questioning since the autopsy proves that Pepe was long dead before they arrived. As a result, the police release the two men. The episode ends with a sense of uncertainty and anticipation for what lies ahead in the world of gangs in Galicia.
Outside the police station, Silva shared with Daniel that Marco would be testifying in Samuel's trial. Toño informed them that he was investigating Germán on Padin's orders. Daniel and Nilo were shocked but didn't say anything else. At Berta's house, she warned Laura to stay out of Ana's business and avoid the Padins. However, Laura wanted to protect her sister and niece.
On the other hand, Walter met with his boss and briefed him on the investigation. At the moment, they were looking into Ana and her recent activities, which linked back to Macario. They decided to monitor one of the companies that Ana was working with. Speaking of Ana, she called Laura as soon as she returned to her abandoned car. She asked Laura to send the last location she tracked on her phone.
Later that night, she spoke to Daniel, and they decided to get Sara and her mom out as soon as possible. Daniel was surprised that Ana thought she could get out of her once her deal with Macario was done. In the meantime, Germán did a drop with Toño. Of course, Tono recognised the goods but acted calmly. He pretended that he was frustrated with the Padins and wanted to switch teams.
The following day, the Padin and their top men met to discuss what to do with Germán. Nilo offered to talk to some contacts to find out where Germán was hiding the stash. Silva also brought up the Marco issue, and Daniel promised to handle it. He visited Marco's mom and asked her to talk to Marco before Padin fed him to the fish.
At the DEA office, they got more information on the company that they were watching. They realized that the machinery from Brazil had been cleared at the Portugal port and was on its way.
They consent to maintain surveillance, meticulously tracking the machinery and observing its delivery to Mendez's company. As anticipated, Ana is present to ensure a seamless operation before the massive unloading that night.
Elsewhere, Daniel acquires the house adjacent to where Sara and her grandmother reside. He enlists two men to keep a constant watch over the property. While he attends to his personal matters, Nilo receives confirmation of Germán's stash house. Padin requests him to prepare the men and proceed with the retrieval, insisting that Daniel lead the operation, but his son is unreachable.
After some time, Nilo finally connects with Daniel and informs him of their afternoon mission. Daniel requests them to wait, but Nilo decides to disregard his orders. He leads his men to the stash house, where they discover the drugs. However, Paco anonymously tips off the GRECO team about the location. The team uses the clues from the call to locate the stash house and begins monitoring it. Simultaneously, the DEA and the civil guard are also keeping an eye on the premises, hoping to catch Macario's men in the act.
As the police remain hidden, waiting for any indication of activity, Paco plays a mind game with Padin during their usual domino game. Meanwhile, Daniel is running late and calls his father to inquire about Nilo and the other men's whereabouts. Padin informs him that he's too late and advises him to stay out of it. Unfortunately, Nilo leads the men straight into a trap. The GRECO team and the DEA team engage in a confrontation since they had no idea they would both be present. Once Nilo hears the gunfire, he orders his men to flee and takes the loaded van. He ends up getting arrested while attempting to escape.
During his interrogation, Torres promises him a deal if he rat out Padin. He hesitates but eventually gives her Ana's name.
