The third episode of Gangs of London's thrilling third season opens with the chaotic aftermath of Sean Wallace's grim demise. The neighborhood youth, who moonlight as drug dealers, stumble upon the scene of devastation through gaping holes in the wall. With caution, they await the assassin's departure before delivering his lifeless corpus to Luan, a notorious gangster who barters the corpse for a sack brimming with cash. Empowered by their unexpected windfall, the two teenagers head to a local watering hole, where they indulge in an ostenatious display of their newfound wealth. Their choice of venue couldn't be less discreet, especially when one boasts about their role in Sean's demise.
Meanwhile, Billy and Cornelius receive intelligence about Sean's killers from a trusted informant. Oblivious to the fact that the assassin's mission is far from complete, they prepare for the next move. Enter Zeek, the enigmatic killer, who pays Marian an unwelcome visit but narrowly escapes capture without harming her. The reasons for his restraint will gradually unfold later in the season.
Elsewhere, Elliot awakens in the hospital to find the Mayor standing vigilantly by his bedside. She urges Elliot to surrender and atone for his criminal acts against the victims of the drug tampering scandal. Elliot defiantly refuses, leaving the air thick with tension.
Yet, Elliot's primary focus remains locked on Sean's killer—the same individual who ran down his wife and son. His first stop is Luan's lair, where he surveys Sean's body with a heavy heart. Displeased with the unfolding events, Elliot warns of dire consequences for Luan. When Luan realizes he might have targeted the wrong man, with Sean innocently involved and made a scapegoat, his plight only worsens.
Armed with Sean's body, Luan confronts Marian, explaining his actions and vowing to shield her from further danger. However, his quest is far from over. He intends to track down and confront both Billy and Cornelius as well.
As the conversation unfolds, Billy and Cornelius make an unwelcome appearance at the bar, egging on the youthful patrons to boast about their role in Sean's demise. However, their ill-conceived plan backfires spectacularly, and just as they're about to dispatch their second victim, Elliot bursts in to halt the grim proceedings. Recognizing the assassin's visage, Elliot whisks the endangered youth to safety, abandoning Billy and Cornelius to their fate in the bathroom. Despite the door being fortified against escape, the duo somehow manages to break free and makes haste back to Marian, who offers them sanctuary in return for their assistance in hunting down Sean's killers.
Meanwhile, Elliot grapples to extract information from his captive, only to be interrupted by the arrival of the police, who promptly arrest him for illegally possessing a firearm. After an entire episode of mimicking Sandra Bullock's character from Bird Box, justice finally catches up with him. With Saba now in charge of the operation, their informant flees, unaware that the assassin has been shadowing him the entire time. The assassin catches up with the young man, ultimately ending his life by the roadside. Saba arrives too late to intervene, and relays the tragic news to Elliot, who remains incarcerated.
Elliot strikes a deal with the Mayor, agreeing to cooperate in exchange for a hearing. He unveils a fraction of the operation, hinting at a larger, unseen gear in the machinery. He enlists Simone's help, but only on the condition that he solves the mystery within a week. Fail that, and his cell will become a permanent residence, with no foreseeable release.
