Episode 2 of Season 1 of "Go!" commences with a poignant flashback to the harrowing moment when Siya's father was brutally shot down in his store, the young Siya witnessing it all. As his father gasped his last breath, his dying wish was for Siya to flee. Obeying that haunting command, a terrified Siya sprinted away, his life forever altered by that fateful dash.
Presently, Siya awakens from slumber, his mind stirred by the bloodstains on his shirt—a grim reminder of the harrowing events of the previous night. With determination, he cleans the shirt, steeling himself mentally for his inaugural day at the prestigious new school. He sends a casual text to Nthabi, feigning ignorance about Mandla's whereabouts.
Upon arriving at his new academic venue, Siya struggles to concentrate. His thoughts are consumed by Mandla and his actions from the night before. The athletics team captain grows increasingly antsy about Siya's arrival, as curiosity piques among the students to witness the prowess of the one nicknamed Bolt, whose shoes are not easily filled. RJ offers a school tour, attempting civility but failing to mask his jealousy.
As the day drags on, Siya's anxiety reaches a crescendo, ultimately compelling him to seek refuge in the teacher's restroom for an entire hour. The coach, sensing his distress, urges him to confront his fears and pull himself together. Despite his efforts, Siya is haunted by the specter of his victim, rendering him unable to focus during practice, much to the frustration of his teammates.
Returning home in the evening, Siya is startled to find the police at his doorstep. They grill him about the previous night's events, and though Siya admits to being with Mandla, he claims to have parted ways and made his own journey home. His mother scolds him, while the police assure them they'll await Mandla's awakening.
Siya is astounded to learn that Mandla is still alive but in a critical condition, placed in an induced coma. After the police depart, Siya, accompanied by Nthabi and Shuffle, rushes to the hospital. Overwhelmed with guilt, Siya confesses to Shuffle his intention to come clean. Shuffle dissuades him, arguing that Mandla's fragile state makes confession futile; it wouldn't alter the past. He manipulates Siya's sense of duty to their mother, convincing him to reconsider.
The trio returns home, where Siya does his utmost to comfort a distressed Nthabi. The following morning, Mandla miraculously regains consciousness, emerging from his coma.
