Go! Season 1, Episode 5 unfolds with the piercing ring of Nthabi's call, jolting Gabi and Siya from their slumber. In a swift motion, Siya shoos Gabi out of his room and grabs the receiver, attempting to justify his deeds to Nthabi. Yet, she stands firm, insisting that she can no longer harbor the secret. She presents him with an ultimatum: confess or face her revealing the truth to the authorities.
Later, Nthabi heads to the hospital with the intention of confronting Mandla, but instead encounters Shuffle. Realizing that Shuffle was the mastermind behind framing Mandla, she chooses to remain silent.
Meanwhile, at school, Siya is hailed like a triumphant king returning home. Students treat him like a hero, snapping photos and showering him with congratulations. In stark contrast, Gabi maintains an indifferent demeanor towards him. The principal informs Siya that South African selectors are in town and has arranged a photo shoot for the team post-class. The school sees Siya as an opportunity to attract more investors and elevate its reputation.
Back at the hospital, Mandla is discharged but immediately placed under arrest. Elsewhere, Shuffle meets with Nthabi and persuades her to stay quiet. He vows to secure Mandla's freedom and rectify the situation. Together, they visit a local gang leader, T, seeking a loan to bail Mandla out.
T agrees to lend them the money on one condition: Shuffle must organize a race between Siya and the notorious Rough Boys. If Siya wins, Shuffle's debt will be forgiven. However, if Siya loses, Shuffle will owe double the amount plus interest. Shuffle readily accepts the terms and assures T of a favorable outcome. He then sends Siya a text, informing him of the race. Without hesitation, Siya agrees to participate. Shuffle, pleased with the response, promises to update Siya on the date and time.
After securing the loan, Shuffle and Nthabi secure Mandla's release. Mandla is disheartened by Siya's absence and asks to attend to some matters first before driving to the Khumalo residence. He attempts to apologize, but Gabi summarily ejects him. Later, Siya seeks permission to visit his family. Mr. Khumalo not only lends him the car but also gives him money. Unbeknownst to Siya, Gabi tails him and catches him spending time with Nthabi and Mandla.
