The thirteenth episode of "Good Boy" kicks off with nostalgic flashes depicting Han-na's participation in the Olympic Games. Though it's a fleeting glimpse, it potently underscores the imperative for our protagonists to make every shot matter. With Dong-ju sidelined, Han-na checks out a rifle from the station and sets her sights on Insung. Boldly, she breaches the construction site in broad daylight and dashes up the stairwell with unwavering determination.
In the wake of the Commissioner's absence and Golden Bunny's demise, the most foreseeable twist unfolds. Ju-yeong has beaten Han-na to the punch, and the scene that greets her is far from reassuring. Man-sik's frustration deepens upon discovering the Commissioner's clandestine initiative to form a special task force with the SPO. This alliance not only intertwines the Insung Police but also brings the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office and the District Prosecutor’s Office into tight collaboration, heralding a new era of intensified scrutiny and action.
It seems evident that they are attempting to conceal their tracks, prompting Jong-hyeon to advocate for swift action, prioritizing the removal of the files from the pawnshop. However, their plans are further complicated by the arrival of grim news: Sergei lies dead, and the scene is in utter disarray. Miraculously, Gwang-se survives, having concealed himself within one of the lockers. He divulges that Sergei betrayed them, revealing Leo's presence and Oh Dollar's innocence in his father's demise.
As the team delves deeper into this revelation, they become aware of Han-na's absence. They suspect she was probing Oh Dollar's property registration records, which seem to implicate a certain David Oh—none other than Oh Dollar's son, Ju-yeong. This clarification now elucidates Han-na's relentless pursuit of vendetta, and the rifle she borrowed happens to be a sniper, hinting at her intentions. Upon discovering this, the others frantically strive to intervene and prevent her from committing an irrevocable act.
Meanwhile, Ju-yeong continues his operation to relocate the drugs, concurrently issuing orders for Dong-ju's elimination should he surface. As for Yeon-ha, she remains oblivious to these developments, preoccupied with her personal turmoil.
Yeon-ha arrives at the Seongil Inn to find her sister in a completely disoriented state, evidently under the influence of drugs—specifically Candy. Her sister fails to recognize Yeon-ha, further inflaming Yeon-ha's anger. It transpires that she was administered these drugs to ensure her silence, orchestrated by Ju-yeong.
Later, Yeon-ha confronts Ju-yeong at the construction site, where she is promptly restrained. Ju-yeong taunts her, aware of her role in saving Dong-ju and using this as an opportunity to retaliate. In a chilling display, he forces her to consume Candy, personally feeding her the altered drug concoction, reveling in his cruelty.
Ju-yeong's phone buzzed with an incoming call, the voice on the other end hinting at intimate knowledge of the sniper's identity. In an instant, Han-na's reflexes kicked in, her aim true as she disarmed the caller with a shot that nicked his cheek, sending the trio scrambling for cover. Ju-yeong, undeterred, unleashed his arsenal of guards upon Han-na, who fended them off with remarkable prowess. Amidst the chaos, a slip from one of the attackers revealed Ju-yeong's lair—the penthouse on the 20th floor. Fortuitously, Jong-hyeon was hot on their trail, his footsteps echoing urgency.
Yet fate seemed to conspire against them as Ju-yeong anticipated their moves, awaiting them in the elevator, a firearm clutched in his hand. A heart-stopping moment ensued as he fired, the bullet piercing Han-na's chest. Mercifully, her bulletproof vest bore the brunt, though the impact was agonizing nonetheless. Simultaneously, Dong-ju stirred from his slumber, though his assistance was momentarily unnecessary as Ju-yeong's narcissistic rampage commenced, detailing his nefarious deeds with relish.
Unbeknownst to Ju-yeong, his every word and deed were being captured and transmitted live, thanks to the discreet camera embedded in Han-na's gear. The feed, untouchable by tampering hands of the police, spread like wildfire across screens, drawing even Jae-hong into the fray. Dong-ju, shaking off grogginess, swallowed a handful of painkillers and dashed to Han-na's aid. But his path was blocked by a swarm of Ju-yeong's henchmen. With brisk efficiency, Dong-ju dispatched them, while Jong-hyeon, ears ringing with the echo of a gunshot, raced towards the penthouse.
The stakes had never been higher, the drama unfolding in real-time, every second a testament to courage and cunning.
However, the most compelling wildcard in this dramatic scenario is undoubtedly Leo, who suddenly appears on the scene, confronting Ju-yeong with a gun aimed directly at his temple. In a stunning revelation, Sergei discloses that Ju-yeong is in fact the one who took his father's life. Leo, who has harbored this knowledge all along, has finally reached his moment of reckoning. Yet, just as justice seems poised to prevail, Mr. Baek storms in and savagely stabs Leo in the abdomen, prompting Yeon-ha to seize him and flee hastily to regroup their forces. Incredibly, our adversary Leo somehow survives this mortal wound, destined to continue his battle for another day. Amidst the ensuing chaos, Han-na also manages to slip away with them unnoticed.
Leo clarifies his motives, asserting that he is merely seeking to settle an old debt. Years ago, Han-na's father had spared his life as an act of redemption, and now, Han-na is repaying that kindness by aiding Leo. He hands over a digital camera, a vessel filled with cherished memories from their past.
Meanwhile, Dong-ju dashes to the clandestine meeting currently in progress and delivers a powerful punch to the Commissioner's face, knocking him unconscious instantly. When Man-sik learns of this development, he is left in a state of disbelief. Dong-ju, unable to contain his amusement, sneers throughout their escape from the hotel.
Jong-hyeon makes his way to the penthouse level, where he engages in a fierce confrontation with Mr. Baek. As their struggle ensues, Man-sik and Dong-ju rush to the construction site, hotly pursued by officers racing from the hotel. The scene descends into pure pandemonium as everyone converges on the hideout, each individual resolved to push forward with all their might.
