Episode 14 of “Good Boy” kicks off with an intense scene where Leo, fueled by rage, pursues Ju-yeong, demanding explanations that seem as elusive as they are crucial. However, his relentless pursuit lacks the discretion it desperately needs, leading to a hail of bullets fired by Ju-yeong’s henchmen. Caught in the crossfire, Leo collapses, his body stained with blood.
Yeon-ha, horrified by the unfolding tragedy, dashes towards him without hesitation. As Leo’s life ebbs away, he whispers a poignant request, asking for Yeon-ha’s true name. With a trembling voice, she reveals it to be Yoon Mi-hyang. Leo, despite his fading consciousness, offers a tender yet whimsical remark, "That’s an ugly name, but I’ll cherish it, my love," before succumbing to his wounds and slipping into eternity.
Ju-yeong, renowned for his mastery of manipulation, has woven a web of deceit so intricate that Leo finds himself ensnared. Leo’s fury stems from being duped into committing a heinous act—killing Han-na’s father, whom Ju-yeong falsely accused of covering for Oh Dollar. Leo, duped into obedience, hesitates at the critical moment, recognizing the man who earlier extended him mercy. Ju-yeong, seizing the opportunity, steps in and pulls the trigger, sealing the fate of an innocent. Ironically, this murder is immortalized on a digital camera now in Han-na’s possession, a damning piece of evidence against Ju-yeong.
Meanwhile, at the construction site, the elevator becomes a battleground as Jong-hyeon squares off against Mr. Baek. Reluctantly acknowledging Dong-ju’s unexpected tenacity, Jong-hyeon undergoes a symbolic transformation, crushing his glasses—a gesture signifying the shedding of his past weaknesses. Invigorated by this newfound resolve, Jong-hyeon fights with renewed vigor, though Baek escapes mortal peril.
Elsewhere, Dong-ju, flanked by Man-sik and Jae-hong, slices through waves of adversaries like a hot knife through butter. Their combined prowess ensures victory, leaving a trail of defeated foes in their wake.
As for Han-na, she marches towards the penthouse armed with a machine gun, sparking an intense firefight. Amidst the chaos, Yeon-ha saunters in nonchalantly, clutching a grenade. With a flick of her wrist, she hurls it into the room, prompting everyone to scramble for safety. Han-na and Yeon-ha seize the moment, dashing into the elevator and narrowly escaping as the grenade detonates, engulfing the penthouse in a ball of fire.
Yet, this reprieve is fleeting, for Yeon-ha possesses more grenades. She ignites another just as Han-na reunites with Dong-ju, finding themselves staring at each other amidst the impending blast. They take cover, their eyes locking in a tender moment that allows Ju-yeong to slip away unnoticed. Tragically, Yeon-ha is knocked unconscious by the explosion, her pulse barely discernible.
In the wake of the destruction, Yeon-ha is rushed to the hospital while riot police and firefighters arrive to secure the building. They comb through the ruins, collecting evidence and conducting forensics, but Ju-yeong remains elusive.
Han-na recalls the incident with the sniper, realizing they have a traitor within their ranks—evidenced by Ju-yeong receiving a mysterious call. Locating the phone and tracing the calls could provide a vital clue. Meanwhile, Dong-ju, still wanted by the authorities, hides comedically inside a dumpster. Ironically, the Commissioner appears soon after, having just been knocked out by Dong-ju. He lambasts everyone present, with Man-sik doing his utmost to navigate the Commissioner's tide of anger.
Elsewhere, Ju-yeong's henchmen are in disarray, unable to reach their boss but in possession of a truck laden with equipment worth hundreds of billions of won. Mr. Baek realizes they could offload it cheaply and inform Oh Jong-gu of the developments. However, he finds himself in a pickle as well.
Back at Man-sik's residence, drama unfolds when he discovers his wife is pregnant. Initially, he fears it's his daughter's child, but that revelation is soon overshadowed by an even greater shock: Man-sik had undergone a vasectomy, making the pregnancy impossible.
The others deemed it prudent to call it a night, affording Han-na and Dong-ju some private moments together. By "private moments," I mean an intense, passionate kiss session on the couch. Their intimate time was, however, abruptly cut short by Jin Gyeong-suk's untimely arrival, prompting Dong-ju to make a beeline for Jong-hyeon's place instead. But fate had other plans; there, in the bathroom, Dong-ju found himself violently puking.
The next day, the team embarked on a mission to pinpoint Ju-yeong's whereabouts, increasingly convinced he had an insider helping him evade the cameras and the authorities' dragnet. On the brighter side, they had managed to seize a truck belonging to Jong-gu, a breakthrough that might lead them to him. The other trucks did show up, but their license plates were undecipherable, providing them with a clue to track Jong-gu down. Han-na, leveraging her contact, unearthed crucial documents, notably a list of attendees at the joint task force launch ceremony. Dong-ju, on the other hand, struck out at J9 Security, finding the place eerily cleared out.
The team discovered that Oh Dollar had been using plates from illegally deregistered trucks. Among the fifteen rogue vehicles, seven had been used to transport Candy. To cover more ground efficiently, they decided to split into two teams, with Dong-ju partnering with Jong-hyeon. However, Dong-ju's health woes continued to hinder their progress. Jong-hyeon, aware of Dong-ju's vomiting incident at his place, urged him to take it slow.
As their investigation deepened, the traitor's identity was unveiled—none other than the greenhorn at RIU, Lee Jong-hun, who was currently serving disciplinary leave for misplacing his firearm to Yeon-ha. With the mole exposed, the noose tightened around Ju-yeong's neck, stripping him of his once-vast influence network. But where was he hiding?
It turned out he had gone straight for Jong-hun to silence him. However, Jong-hun wasn't the only insider; Ju-yeong brazenly showed up in the Commissioner's office. Dong-ju and the team dashed to the station, determined to apprehend him. Ju-yeong, sensing their approach,戏剧性地 held Pan-yeol at gunpoint. It was all a decoy to slip away, but Han-na's quick thinking shot the Commissioner in the thigh, forcing Ju-yeong to bolt out empty-handed.
All the officers swarm around the Commissioner with excessive attention, while Dong-ju ambushes Ju-yeong in the dimly lit parking lot. Despite being merely episode 14 in their saga, Ju-yeong manages to slip through Dong-ju's grasp with a clever maneuver. As Dong-ju lunges to chase him down, Jong-gu steps in, delivering a powerful punch to his face that rocks him back on his heels. With the two men poised for a confrontation, Dong-ju's fragile health begins to assert itself, casting a dark shadow over his very livelihood. Alas, it seems that his vision has deserted him, or perhaps he is caught in a grim hallucination that twists reality into a grotesque semblance of itself.
