His & Hers – Season 1 Episode 2

Published: Jan 09 2026

The second episode commences with Anna delving into her old friends' social media feeds. Her gaze lands on a photo of Meg and Jack, and in that moment, Jack storms in, seething with anger. He confronts her for being selfish and exposing Rachel's name, further fueled by his jealousy towards Richard and blaming her for their estrangement. Their discussion leads them to realize that it's a moot point whether he would have stayed faithful if she had asked. They agree to coexist, but she remains her pushy self.

At the morgue, Dr. Turner displays the bracelet to the police, and Jack recognizes that Zoe had one. Turner also requests his DNA swab to rule out his DNA from the crime scene, but he deflects the request.

His & Hers – Season 1 Episode 2 1

Priya and Jack finally reach out to Duffie Hopkins. Duffie is oddly candid, revealing that he's impotent and had an open marriage with Rachel. She slept with men and women and enjoyed belittling her hook-ups, who were all strangers. He suggests that she was too mean, and her current boyfriend probably snapped. Priya seems to agree, which irritates Jack.

They review Duffie's CCTV footage and see Rachel leaving while on call. He then goes to walk his dog in the rain and returns. He accidentally reveals that Anna visited him that morning and told her that Helen may know of the boyfriend. Jack is annoyed and tries to reach out to Helen, who doesn't take his calls. To keep Priya in the dark, he has her look around on a "hunch" and shuts her down when she brings up his past advice.

Right then, he discovers Rachel's phone in his car. Duffie has been calling it to drain its battery, despite the cops warning him not to. We see that he's doing it at the behest of Helen. As the police leave, Jack ends up lashing out as Priya insists on the boyfriend theory. She reasons that the boyfriend must have stabbed 40 times to throw off the cops and taken Rachel's nails to hide his DNA. Upset, he lets it slip that Helen knows him and Anna is his wife.

To avoid running into Anna, Jack abstains from visiting Helen, who is now the headmistress at St Hilary's, the girls' former private school. As Anna makes her way, she updates Jim, but we see Jim reassuring Lexy that Anna is no longer a threat. Lexy disagrees, as she observes Anna flirting with Richard in the B-roll footage.

At the school, we get a flashback of Anna's admission with a scholarship. Alice, who works as a cleaner for Rachel, asks her to befriend Anna. However, Rachel, Zoe, and Helen mock Anna. In the present, Helen meets Anna and they are hostile towards each other. Anna wants someone to go on record that Jack is Rachel's lover, and Helen toys with her by bringing up Anna's deceased child and wondering if a 20-year-old secret is about to be exposed. Anna points out that Rachel, who knew the secret, is now dead.

At the precinct, Jack has Priya obtain Duffie's phone records. Alone, Jack cancels the trace on Rachel's phone and tries to unlock it. Priya interrupts, reminding him of his DNA swab. He continues to call Helen while heading home to get Zoe's DNA. She's out, and he gets Meg's DNA instead. We also learn that Meg is actually Zoe's daughter, but she's an absent mother.

Meanwhile, Anna is outside. She watches them and tears up. In a flashback, Jack and a pregnant Anna are buying a house and celebrating. In the present, Zoe spots her and flips her off. Duffie keeps calling Rachel's phone, and Priya notices a pattern.

Elsewhere, Anna checks in with her mother. Alice is now lucid and upset that Jack told Anna about the dementia. She wanted to tell Anna herself, but she disappeared. She cooks egg shells, and Anna looks worried. She doesn't want to leave Alice but gets a call from Jim that Lexy is missing and he wants her to cover the news. Anna agrees but can't promise Alice when she'll return.

Meanwhile, Duffie contacts Helen as well, wanting to get out of their arrangement. Helen is upset and crying while looking at Rachel's photo.

To add the cherry on top, Priya discovers a boot print at the crime scene—identical to Jack's. Jack rushes to the morgue and submits his "DNA" for analysis. When the assistant mortician is momentarily preoccupied, Jack cleverly uses Face ID on Rachel's corpse to unlock her phone. Swiftly, he deletes his messages with her. His eyes land on Helen's texts, discussing 'C' who was blackmailing Rachel for money. Helen seemed reluctant to be a part of it, but Rachel insisted it was too late to back out. She even asked if Rachel had dumped Jack, shocking him that Helen was aware of their relationship. At the episode's climax, Helen calls the precinct and requests a meeting with Sheriff Barnes.

[Note: It's important to remember that unlocking a deceased person's phone without proper authority or consent is unethical and illegal in many jurisdictions. The above scenario is purely fictional and should not be interpreted as an endorsement or encouragement of such behavior.]
