In the fifth episode of "His & Hers," the scene opens with Anna and Jack in an awkward predicament following their hook-up. Duffie's reward offer has led to a flood of spam in the tipline. Sheriff Barnes is desperate for answers, and Jack insists that he's closing in on Duffie as the killer. However, Priya throws a wrench in his plans by targeting Anna. She mentions Anna's career revival following Rachel's murder, the friendship bracelet, and how the victims didn't fight back against the killer. Jack becomes upset and defensive, but Barnes allows Priya to pursue this theory.
Desperate to stop Priya, Jack doubles down on Duffie. He confronts Duffie with Rachel's phone, convinced that C is Duffie Clyde and that he blackmailed the women due to the BDSM video. He reasons that Duffie killed Rachel because he hated her for belittling him. Duffie then found out about Helen trying to confess to Sheriff Barnes and killed her too.
Duffie simply laughs and reveals that he knows J is Jack, wondering if he's the killer. This revelation shakes Jack up, and he begins to spiral, blindly pursuing leads from the tipline. The tension and suspense build as the characters grapple with their respective motivations and the truth about the murders.
He struck gold when an old acquaintance revealed that he had gone with Rachel to Luxe 11 in Atlanta on May 18th. While he waited outside, she was attacked by an unknown assailant. Meanwhile, Priya confronted Anna. Anna, being brutally honest, claimed she was never close with Rachel, Helen, or Zoe. And yes, she had broken into the school the day she found Helen's body because they knew how to pick the lock.
Later, Priya watched as Zoe arrived at the station to argue with Jack. Zoe was terrified that she was the next victim, and Jack was confused. A frantic Zoe rambled that Helen and Rachel often bullied Anna, and she was just a bystander. But something terrible had happened on Anna's 16th birthday, and Anna might still be holding a grudge.
At that moment, Jack received a tip that Richard lived in Luxe 11. He ignored Zoe's fear and rushed to confront Richard. He found the cameraman at a bar and demanded the truth. Richard claimed he was out of the country on May 18th, and his assault charge was actually self-defense. Lexy had a female stalker who ended up attacking him. Jack didn't believe it, and Richard provoked him by mentioning rough sex with Anna. Furious, Jack beat him up.
At the precinct, Priya showed Zoe their old group photo. Zoe casually mentioned that Catherine had taken the photo. Priya was surprised to find out there was a fifth friend and located Catherine A. Kelly in the yearbook. Back at the bar, Anna arrived to defend Jack. She threatened to reveal their affair to Lexy if Richard pressed charges. Richard gave in, but their dynamic became tense.
That night, while Meg was at a sleepover, a paranoid Zoe got high, locked her house, and took a bath to calm herself down. Right when she felt comfortable, someone jumped her from behind.
Priya finally obtained Rachel's phone records and saw constant calls from Duffie, Helen, and Jack. She also looked up Catherine and saw an obituary for Andrea Kelly, Catherine's sister. Back at the hotel, some woman canceled Richard and Anna's room reservation. Richard offered his in-laws' lake house, and Anna accepted. The route looked familiar, and Anna recalled a memory...
It was Catherine's 16th birthday. The girls ventured into the woods, where they explored some ruins. Catherine was scared, but Anna kept reassuring her. Rachel invited three boys, and they got Anna and Catherine drunk. Rachel claimed Anna, and the boys raped Catherine while Zoe, Helen, and Rachel laughed. Later, Jack returned home to find Zoe murdered in the bathtub.

Inside, she found a hammer and bleach, which further unnerved her. Richard claimed Lexy just wanted to bury the hatchet. As he made himself at home, Anna saw family photos. Lexy was actually a Kelly. There was an obituary for Andrea Kelly, and there were photos of Catherine graduating and losing weight. Andrea was blonde, while Lexy's wedding photo showed she was actually a brunette like Catherine. A shocked Anna realized Lexy was Catherine.
