Hotel Cocaine – Season 1 Episode 2 1

Nestor, steadfast in his loyalty, declares his intention to rescue Chucho from the hospital's ironclad security, viewing him as a brother worth risking everything for. Roman, meanwhile, remains glued to Nestor's side, his anxiety palpable.

At the Mutiny, a new storm brews as Roman discovers attempts to counterfeit the exclusive club's membership cards. Adding to his plate, he's tasked with entertaining Burton and his creative companion, Rick, a musician struggling with writer's block. Rick seeks solace and inspiration within the club's walls, while Burton exhausts every vice from drugs to women, all to no avail.

In a moment of vulnerability, Roman confides in Candice, baring his soul about Nestor, the DEA's involvement, and his role in Chucho's shooting. He implores her to use her nursing connections to gauge Chucho's condition, hoping for a glimmer of good news.

Candice's inquiry yields a glimmer of hope—Chucho is on the mend, with doctors optimistic about his recovery. However, the night takes a sinister turn when Zulio descends upon Roman, ordering him to deceive Nestor about the DEA's tightened security around Chucho. Zulio fears Nestor's desperate lengths to free his comrade.

Elsewhere in the Mutiny's shadows, Candice's past collides with the present as she encounters Phil, her nemesis who once betrayed her and others into a sex trafficking nightmare. Phil's feigned remorse rings hollow, and his true colors emerge as he attempts to prey on other unsuspecting women. Candice's warning falls on deaf ears, met with mockery, deepening the rift between them.

At home, Roman's tranquility is shattered upon discovering Valeria's abandonment of her confirmation classes. As they converse, Valeria's doubts about the divine echo through the air, her mother's untimely passing casting a long shadow over her faith. She grapples with the question that plagues her soul: why did God allow her mother's demise? Chucho, sensing her turmoil, gently urges her to embrace faith in the grand design, coaxing her back to her final confirmation session.

The following day, Nestor, heedless of Roman's dire warnings about the DEA's watchful eye, concocts a reckless plan to abduct Chucho. Roman, voicing his concerns about their vulnerability, finds himself swept up in Nestor's conviction that the Orisha—divine protectors—will shield them. With a heavy heart, Roman enlists Candice to safeguard their club while he embarks on this perilous endeavor with Nestor, secretly harboring the intention to eliminate Chucho amidst the chaos.

However, the DEA's cunning outmaneuvers them, luring them into a false sense of victory with a decoy corpse. Meanwhile, Zulio holds Chucho captive, awaiting his awakening. Upon regaining consciousness, Chucho, though mute, scrawls Roman's name, igniting Zulio's suspicions about Roman's true intentions.

Roman, undeterred, attempts to persuade Nestor to strike again, but Nestor stands firm in his belief that Chucho would never betray him to the authorities. As night falls, Zulio confronts Roman, seeking answers about the failed assassination attempt. Roman feigns ignorance, his facade intact.

Later, in the confines of his office, Roman encounters Candice, who shares news of Phil. Roman's anger boils over, and he unleashes a fury upon Phil, banishing him from the Mutiny with a stern warning. Candice, who Roman once rescued from Phil's clutches, soothes his tempestuous emotions and delves into the complexities of his predicament with the DEA and Nestor.

In a moment of vulnerability, Roman confesses his intention to confess to Zulio after Valeria's confirmation, pleading for mercy. Candice, ever the optimist, whispers a hope that Chucho's fate may yet be sealed by fate itself.

The next day, Roman's focus shifts to Valeria's confirmation, where Burton brings Rick, still reeling from his struggles but finding solace in the ceremony's spirituality. Nestor, meanwhile, turns to the Orishas in prayer, beseeching their intervention for Chucho's safety.

Unbeknownst to Roman and Nestor, Candice, armed with the aid of a nurse friend, infiltrates the hospital and takes matters into her own hands, ending Chucho's life to safeguard Roman's. As Roman returns home, Nestor awaits him in secret, breaking the news of Chucho's demise and extending an olive branch, offering Roman the role of his second-in-command. Little do they know, Zulio observes their exchange from afar, his own machinations brewing in the shadows.
