Idol I – K-drama Episode 6 1

On her way home, Hye-ju recalls how she ended her relationship with Ra-ik years ago. She remembers choosing her family's reputation over her feelings and breaking up with him. In a flashback, she and Ra-ik are seen in a heated argument where she tells him that he means nothing to her. In the present day, Hye-ju asks her secretary to help release Ra-ik's house from police custody so that he has a place to stay.

Later that night, Se-na ponders how affectionate Ra-ik has been towards her over the past few days. Ra-ik leaves a note outside her room, detailing the events from the night of Woo-seung's murder to aid in the cross-interrogation the next day. He apologizes for the chaos caused by Hye-ju and requests that Se-na let him stay at her house for a little longer.

The following morning, Se-na prepares Ra-ik for the interrogation with Jae-hee, warning him that Jae-hee may try to unsettle him by bringing up personal matters. Ra-ik reassures her that he will stay calm, but he loses his composure once the interrogation begins. Byung-kyun questions both Jae-hee and Ra-ik in the presence of their lawyers.

Byung-kyun exposes the contractual conflict between Ra-ik and Goldi Entertainment, revealing that Ra-ik had threatened to leave the Gold Boys and their label to sign with a rival agency. A flashback shows Woo-seung visiting Jae-hee and Young-bin at the hospital shortly before his murder. Jae-hee informs Woo-seung that Ra-ik was planning to exit the group and join another label. Woo-seung is shocked and attempts to prevent Jae-hee from disclosing this information to the media.

Returning to the present, Byung-kyun reveals that Goldi Entertainment paid a substantial sum of money to Ra-ik's mother, alleging that she was involved in a deal that Ra-ik made with the agency behind his bandmates' backs. As they leave, Ra-ik requests to visit his mother. At the same time, Byung-kyun informs Jae-hee that he will need to testify against Ra-ik in court. Jae-hee appears agitated by this suggestion, which arouses Byung-kyun's suspicion.

Ra-ik locates his mother, Mi-kyung, at a gaming parlor and accuses her of extorting money from Goldi Entertainment by threatening to sign him with another label. He blames her for turning him into a murder suspect, but Mi-kyung shows no remorse.

Se-na questions Mi-kyung about the terms of her interrogation and whether she mentioned anything about the contract to Byung-kyun. Mi-kyung refuses to reveal anything and tells Se-na to drop the case. Observing how shaken Ra-ik is, Se-na takes him to see a billboard erected by loyal Gold Boys fans.

The billboard features old photos of the members, pays tribute to Woo-seung, and shows support for Ra-ik. The gesture lifts Ra-ik's spirits as Se-na reassures him.

This rephrasing retains the original meaning while enhancing the narrative's vividness and emotional impact, making the scenario more engaging and expressive in English.

Later, Manager Han-gu privately confronts Jae-hee, accusing him of exposing the company's secrets to the media and prosecutors. He insists that Ra-ik is innocent and asks Jae-hee to back off. Jae-hee demands to know the identity of the real murderer, threatens to expose the company, and demands a raise for himself and Young-bin. Meanwhile, Young-bin packs his things and announces to Manager Han-gu that he is leaving the boy band due to a loss of respect for himself.

Byung-kyun informs his father, Jong-chul, that he plans to treat Jae-hee as a suspect due to his false alibi. Jong-chul criticizes him for complicating a straightforward case and urges him to continue pursuing Ra-ik as the prime suspect if he wants to appear strong as a prosecutor. Despite his doubts, Byung-kyun agrees to follow his father's advice.

At home, Se-na and Ra-ik discuss how to prove that Ra-ik did not know about the money transferred into Mi-kyung's account. Se-na then receives a message from Hye-ju asking to meet her. In private, Hye-ju begs Se-na to drop Ra-ik's case, saying that she has found another attorney. Se-na refuses, reminding Hye-ju that she has known Ra-ik for years and believes that he still loves her deeply.

The next day, Se-na and Ra-ik visit Goldi Entertainment to meet CEO Geum Bo-sang. Ra-ik confronts him alone about Jae-hee's comments during the interrogation and asks CEO Geum to testify in court and reveal the truth behind their contract negotiations. CEO Geum agrees to testify in Ra-ik's favor but tells him that he must still prove his innocence on his own.

Meanwhile, Se-na meets with her boss, Gwang-soo, and they discuss her childhood and her father's wrongful conviction. Gwang-soo reflects on Se-na's resilience and suggests that it may come from what happened to her father. He admits that Ra-ik's case reminds him of her father's situation. Se-na recalls doubting her father while he was in prison and remembers the look on his face during their last meeting, which became her final memory of him before he died.

Later, Ra-ik sits beside Se-na as she works and asks questions about her life, trying to get to know her better. Se-na realizes that most of her hobbies involve fangirling over Ra-ik and hides this from him, making herself seem dull.

To comfort Se-na after her difficult day, Ra-ik takes her to a local park with a piano and plays for her. Se-na asks how he would react if someone he trusted deeply was lying to him. Ra-ik says it would not affect him. Se-na recognizes the song as the same one Ra-ik once sang to her as a teenager when she was on the verge of ending her life.

The following morning, Chung-jae shadows Jae-hee and shares with Se-na the agency Jae-hee intends to sign with. In the heat of the moment, Se-na inadvertently leaves the attic key on her desk. Determined to surprise her with gimbap, Ra-ik calls his grandmother for the recipe and sets off to buy ingredients, careful not to be recognized. Upon returning home, he realizes there's no rice and calls Chung-jae, who suggests checking the attic. Inside, Ra-ik discovers old photos of Se-na and is taken aback by the sight of Gold Boys posters, photocards, and a cardboard cutout of himself.

Concurrently, Se-na meets the lawyer who drafted the contract between Goldi Entertainment and Mi-kyung. She argues that the contract is invalid since Ra-ik never signed it. The lawyer reveals that it was Woo-seung who initially approached Goldi Entertainment about renegotiating Ra-ik's contract.

The episode concludes with Se-na returning home to find Ra-ik sitting silently in a corner, surrounded by scattered fan merchandise.
