Idol I – K-drama Episode 7 1

Ra-ik thanks Se-na for her support and for trying to defend him, but expresses his hurt and betrayal at being lied to. He questions whether Se-na would have had the same level of faith in him if she were not his fan and leaves her house, leaving Se-na in tears as she reflects on the memories they shared over the past few days.

Chung-jae arrives at Se-na's house and begins to clean up the scattered fan merchandise. Se-na tells him that she had planned to throw everything away but couldn't bring herself to do it, as it represented her memories as a fan of Ra-ik. She explains that getting rid of the posters, photos, and plush toys would mean letting go of the happy version of herself, as fangirling over Gold Boys and Ra-ik were the only things that once brought her joy.

Ra-ik returns to the dorm room and learns from Manager Han-gu that Young-bin and Jae-hee have left the company, with Jae-hee being called in for questioning. Han-gu informs CEO Beum that Ra-ik has returned to the dorm and insists that he hasn't spoken about anything related to the case. CEO Beum asks Han-gu to locate Jae-hee and bring him to the company office before his court hearing.

The next morning, Se-na receives a call from Manager Han-gu informing her about Ra-ik's interrogation at the prosecutor's office. She rushes there and learns that Jae-hee is now missing, with the prosecutors suspecting Ra-ik in his disappearance.

Se-na reaches the interrogation room and interrupts Byung-kyun, who is questioning Ra-ik in her absence. Byung-kyun tells Se-na that Ra-ik consented to being questioned without her present, forcing her to wait outside. After the interrogation, Se-na attempts to reconnect with Ra-ik, but he's hesitant to trust her once more. Se-na confesses that she chose his case due to her admiration for him, but admits that the flawed investigation also drew her in. She insists that she's kept her work and personal life separate throughout the case.

Ra-ik tells Se-na that he's struggling as he's unsure if he can trust her. Outside, Ra-ik informs Manager Han-gu that Se-na is no longer his lawyer and asks him never to contact her again. As Se-na reflects on her conversation with Ra-ik, Byung-kyun approaches her. He questions her about Jae-hee's disappearance and threatens to use every means necessary to prove Ra-ik's guilt.

Se-na fires back, saying that Byung-kyun is exactly like his father, someone who goes to extremes to prove a suspect guilty instead of finding the real criminal. Byung-kyun brings up Se-na's father and tries to provoke her by calling her pathetic. Shocked by the remark, Se-na seeks out Hye-ju. She asks Hye-ju to hire a new attorney for Ra-ik and explains that Ra-ik is currently without legal representation. She offers to compile all her files and notes to pass on to the new lawyer.

Hye-ju thanks Se-na for her help but asks her never to meet Ra-ik again. Ra-ik speaks to Young-bin next and asks him to reach out if Jae-hee contacts him. After the call, Ra-ik reflects on Byung-kyun's claim that Jae-hee's disappearance will be used to strengthen the case against him in Woo-seung's murder.

That night, Se-na returns home from work and thinks about the time Ra-ik spent in her house and the memories they shared. She finally packs up all the fan merch she collected over the years and throws everything away.

The scene is filled with tension and emotions as each character struggles with their own doubts and fears. Se-na's decision to throw away her fan merch symbolizes the end of her relationship with Ra-ik, while Ra-ik's uncertainty about trusting others reflects the complexities of his situation. Byung-kyun's aggressive behavior adds an element of conflict and drama to the story, while Hye-ju's decision to hire a new attorney highlights the importance of legal representation in a case like this.

Detective Nam-sik informs Byung-kyun that Jae-hee has vanished, suggesting that he should be viewed as a more plausible suspect than Ra-ik. Byung-kyun recalls his father's words and resolutely refuses to shift his focus from Ra-ik. Later that night, Jae-hee meets CEO Beum and discusses Woo-seung with him. CEO Beum requests a personal meeting.

The following morning, Ra-ik receives paperwork from Cheon Un Law Firm and contemplates reaching out to Se-na. He waits, hoping she might initiate contact first. Later that day, Ra-ik meets his replacement attorney and realizes that Hye-ju played a pivotal role in arranging the new legal representation.

Hye-ju encounters Ra-ik and reveals that Se-na was the one who asked her to hire a new attorney. She attempts to reignite their relationship, but Ra-ik declines, stating that he no longer harbors feelings for her. When Hye-ju inquires if he has fallen for Se-na, Ra-ik is unable to provide a definitive answer. As Hye-ju breaks down in tears, Ra-ik exits the car.

The next day, Chung-jae reprimands Se-na for coming to work despite feeling unwell. Se-na explains that she needs to keep moving forward. When Chung-jae attempts to confess his feelings for her, Se-na firmly states that they cannot cross the line between friendship and romance. A flashback reveals how Se-na and Chung-jae, both orphans who lost their parents at a young age, grew close. Chung-jae frequently got into legal trouble, and Se-na repeatedly represented him. In the present, Chung-jae reflects on how Se-na once gave him a place to live and helped him turn his life around.

At Cheon Un Law Firm, Ye-sol checks on Se-na, who appears numb and detached since dropping Ra-ik as a client. Se-na stays late at work, and Gwang-soo requests a conversation with her. He brings up a past contract dispute involving artists at Goldi Entertainment and claims that CEO Geum cannot be trusted, suggesting that he knows more than he lets on.

That night, Ra-ik finds himself outside Se-na's law firm. As Se-na leaves work, Ra-ik follows her from a distance. He observes her drinking outside a convenience store. Se-na attempts to call Ra-ik but he turns off his phone. She starts to text him but changes her mind.

Se-na walks to the garden with the piano and plays while drunk, later singing one of Ra-ik's songs as she heads home. Ra-ik follows her to ensure she gets home safely. Outside her building, he notices all her fan merch in the trash and realizes that she threw everything away. He finds the cap he once gave a girl by the lake when they were teenagers and finally connects the dots.

Inside her apartment, Se-na falls asleep while Jae-hee repeatedly tries to call her. Meanwhile, Chairman Hong visits Hye-ju and confronts her about her involvement with Ra-ik. He orders her to return to the States to prevent further contact with him. Hye-ju breaks down and argues with her father, blaming him for ruining her life.

The next morning, the police discover a derailed car. At the same time, Ra-ik tries to contact Jae-hee and learns that he had been in a car accident. Se-na wakes up to a voice message from Ra-ik as Detective Nam-sik calls her with the same news. The episode concludes with Se-na finding Ra-ik standing outside her house, drenched in the rain.
