If Wishes Could Kill – K-drama Episode 5 1

That night, she was out partying with Dong-jae and Chae-yoon. She showed them pictures of Geon-woo and made fun of Hyeong-wook for believing in the app's ability to fulfill wishes. However, Dong-jae started to prank her into thinking the app was real, bringing up Hye-rung and Si-won. Chae-yoon seemed uncomfortable and asked Dong-jae to stop, but ultimately, he claimed it was all just a joke. In retaliation, Na-ri made a wish for both of them to die. Chae-yoon tried to stop her, but it was too late.

The next day, Na-ri woke up with a hangover and was late for class. When she arrived, she found Hyeong-wook slitting his own throat. She panicked as she received a message that her wish had been fulfilled, and her timer began. She hid in the toilet, vomiting and calling Dong-jae, but he never picked up. She tried calling Chae-yoon, but the call went to voicemail. She then started to hallucinate that people were blaming her for what happened to Hyeong-wook.

Later, still in a panic, she got into a fight with Se-ah when she said the app was to blame and they had to save Geon-woo. Before meeting with the others at Se-ah's house, she dropped by Chae-yoon's house and attacked her.

Chae-yoon revealed that there was a rumor that the app was behind the deaths of Hye-rung and Si-won. However, the latest version of the app was not what she originally saw. According to her, the app was created by Si-won to bully Hye-rung.

At Se-ah's place, Na-ri watched as her friends tried to disable the app and save Geon-woo. She also saw the evil spirit attacking Geon-woo. She fainted and woke up at the hospital, where she found a way to trick Se-ah into thinking Geon-woo's family was mad at her.

This episode of "If Wishes Could Kill" is filled with suspense, drama, and unexpected twists that keep viewers on the edge of their seats. The characters' interactions and motivations are complex and add depth to the story. The use of flashbacks adds a sense of urgency and helps explain the motivations behind Na-ri's actions. The show's writing and direction are top-notch, creating an immersive experience for viewers.

Back at Se-ah's house, Na-ri realizes that her timer ceased functioning the moment Geon-woo's wish was fulfilled. She figures out the entire chain-letter effect and considers informing the others. However, the evil spirit tricks her into believing that her friends are searching for a solution and alienating her. She keeps Geon-woo's phone and returns to Se-ah's house after visiting him in the hospital. Unfortunately, she is temporarily possessed by the evil spirit. When Geon-woo finds her in the house, she is already the possessed version of Na-ri. He requests to see the video of his incident on her phone and gradually pieces together the truth.

Later, he goes to the phone store and deactivates his phone. Unbeknownst to Na-ri, she still uses his phone to try to track Se-ah. By this point, she is not possessed and believes she is talking to Se-ah while acting as Geon-woo. 'Se-ah' keeps insisting that they alienate her. That night at school, she and Geon-woo break into the nurse's office and find Si-won's medical report. He confronts her about seeing the evil spirit too, knowing she saw the laceration on Si-won's face.

Given that they had earlier agreed not to lie to each other, Na-ri confesses the truth. He tells her that he knows she has his phone and that she is being tricked by the evil spirit to think they are alienating her. She is possessed again and starts accusing Geon-woo of tricking her into coming to the school. She grabs a pair of scissors and gets defensive, unapologetically telling him about the wish made. In the commotion as the spirit leaves her body briefly, she stabs him. The spirit possesses her again, and she takes off.

Meanwhile, the Bang-wool compass notifies him that the evil spirit is inside the school. He rushes to save Ha-joon and Se-ah, running into Geon-woo as he tries to break the glass door to get to Na-ri. The evil spirit appears before Geon-woo and starts to torment him, unintentionally trying to slit his throat with his nails. Thankfully, Bang-wool arrives in time to save him.

Elsewhere, Ha-joon and Se-ah finish downloading the files just as the lights go off. The spirit uses the shattered glass to attack Bang-wool and injures one of his eyes. The episode ends with another spirit appearing before Bang-wool and asking, "Have you ever heard that if you write down your saju and make a wish, it will come true?"
