Invincible – Season 3 Episode 6 1

Undeterred, Scott transforms his grief into action, becoming a researcher and infiltrating the halls of the Pentagon. However, beneath his newfound professionalism lurks a bitter heart, still smarting from the tragedy. Scott adopts the alias Powerplex and embarks on a clandestine mission, his electrical abilities blossoming through rigorous training alongside his wife. His eyes never stray far from Mark, the object of his vengeful obsession.

Elsewhere, Mark and Eve oversee Oliver as he ventures forth to confront the Elephant, a colossal supervillain reminiscent of Spider-Man's Rhino in brute force and durability. Oliver serves as the perennial sparring partner, having once trained under Nolan's watchful eye alongside Mark. Their post-battle discussion delves into nostalgia, with Oliver revealing a sharp memory that cherishes the joyous moments shared with Nolan. Yet, the complexities of Nolan's dual nature cast a shadow over their recollections, muddying the waters of their sentimentality.

Later that evening, dinner conversations veer towards the budding romance between Eve and Mark, teetering on the brink of something deeper. Meanwhile, Paul, who boasts about his thriving real estate venture, displays a genuine enthusiasm but harbors inner turmoil. His conversation with Debbie unmasks his underlying insecurities; he grapples with finding his place and doubts whether he measures up to his brotherly peers.

That night, Scott storms out with a fierce determination, insisting that Invincible make an appearance for an inevitable clash. Yet, Mark disregards his challenge, preoccupied with a double date with Amber, thus leaving Powerplex to confront Shapesmith, one of their formidable Guardians. Scott, believing he has vanquished his foe, hastily flees the scene. However, his companion offers him solace, hinting at a potential golden opportunity for vengeance at the upcoming memorial service.

Elsewhere, Rudy collaborates diligently with Robot on crafting a novel belt for Amanda, whose transformations had inadvertently caused her to regress in age. With this belt, the issue has been cleverly resolved, earning Amanda's profound gratitude. Concurrently, Rex finds himself torn between staying and leaving, acknowledging his identity's intrinsic link to their mission, whereas Rae has firmly decided to abandon it all.

At the memorial, Scott, donning the guise of Powerplex, once again taunts Invincible into appearing. Instead, he finds himself squared off against Eve, who swiftly dispatches him. The Guardians proceed to apprehend him (though his escape is swift), prompting Mark to reflect deeply. He ponders over the lives lost due to his battles and concludes that Cecil's protection from the stark realities of his actions was misguided.

Soon after, Mark engages in a conversation with Donald Ferguson, who unveils a detailed file on Powerplex and his tormented past. Meanwhile, Scott orchestrates a dramatic finale, staging a kidnapping to lure Mark out of hiding. The two eventually clash, but as Scott's emotions spiral out of control, his electrical powers inadvertently claim the lives of his wife and son. Scott is eventually apprehended, and in his cell, Mark confesses his haunting recollections of Jessica and Gretchen. However, Scott remains embittered and obstinate, his resolve for revenge unyielding. Mark departs, but the gravity of recent events weighs heavily on his heart.

As the episode draws to a close, we shift our focus to Angstrom Levy, who is amassing a multiverse-spanning army of Mark clones on Earth, driven by an unwavering determination to exact his revenge upon Invincible.
