Kohrra – Season 2 Episode 1 1

Sub-Inspector Dhanwant, the officer tasked with unraveling this mystery, arrives at the scene alongside Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Garundi. The scene is filled with emotion as Preet's brother, Baljinder, arrives to witness his sister's lifeless body. The police officers also notice bloody footprints leading to Preet's bedroom, adding another layer of intrigue to the case.

Inside the room, Dhanwant and Garundi uncover photographs of Preet's estranged family - her husband, Tarseem (Sam), and their two children. Baljinder's wife shares with the police that Preet had been living apart from her family, who are currently residing in the United States. The investigation also reveals that Preet was once a popular dance influencer who shared her reels online.

Dhanwant approaches her senior inspector and requests a press conference to share the details of the case. However, she expresses her discontent towards Garundi's apparent negligence in securing the crime scene. Inspector Aseem Khatri urges her to overlook it for now. Meanwhile, Garundi embarks on a quest to locate Preet's dance partner, Johnny Malang.

Dhanwant visits Charu Katyal's house to gather information about the victim. However, Charu's husband prohibits her from speaking with the police. Mr. Katyal reveals that Preet often deceived her family, claiming she was visiting Charu while secretly meeting other individuals.

That night, Garundi returns home to his wife, where he flirts with her in a playful manner. Dhanwant also returns to an empty house, where she dines alone and retires to bed in solitude.

Unsatisfied with Garundi's behavior, Dhanwant decides to search for her husband. She finds him at a local bar, where he is drunk and disheveled. She silently drives him home, setting the stage for further developments in the investigation.

The following morning, Dhanwant meets Charu at her workplace, eager to engage in conversation. Charu divulges that Preet had left Sam due to an affair, and that she had filed for divorce from Sam, seeking custody of their children. Charu further reveals that she had suggested Preet start dancing as a means to divert her thoughts. She claims that Preet had fallen in love with Johnny, her dance instructor, who was unfaithful to his model girlfriend, Bunny Gulati, and was secretly involved with Preet. Charu informs Dhanwant that Sam had been a constant source of intimidation for her.

Garundi and Aujla locate Peter Malang, Johnny's father, who works with a local faith minister, Prophet Harpal. They visit Johnny's residence, and Garundi coerces Peter into revealing Johnny's whereabouts. Peter divulges that Johnny had borrowed money from him before leaving the village.

Dhanwant interrogates the domestic help who had worked for Preet's family. The domestic help recalls that the night before Preet's murder, she had sneaked out of her house to meet Johnny in the middle of the night. He remembers Johnny slapping Preet, and Dhanwant stepping in to intervene. The domestic help reveals that Preet had asked him to keep this secret from her family.

At the station, Garundi informs Dhanwant that Johnny had borrowed Rs. 30,000 from his father on the morning of the murder before vanishing. He reveals that Johnny's phone is untraceable and adds that he has Johnny's shoes, which match the bloody footprints found at Preet's house.

Dhanwant assigns Garundi to handle the cyber cell the following day, but Garundi reminds her of a family function he must attend. That night, Preet's sister-in-law discovers Preet's mother weeping by the stable and consoles her.

The next day, Garundi and his wife, Silky, attend his sister-in-law, Rajji's, baby shower. There, Garundi attempts to speak with his brother, Jung. Jung reveals that he's embarking on a pilgrimage, leaving his pregnant wife alone at home. Silky rushes to ask Garundi to help Rajji, who has fainted.

At the same time, Dhanwant is at a maternity clinic when Aujla calls her to inform her about Johnny's last known location. Aujla reveals that Preet's phone records have been traced and sends them to her. The gynaecologist discusses the IVF procedure with Dhanwant and requests her husband's sperm sample. She calls Garundi while consulting with her doctor and asks him to urgently rush to the bus stand where Johnny was last seen.

Garundi tries to inform Dhanwant about his sister-in-law's condition, but his senior is disappointed in him for failing to follow her orders. Meanwhile, Sam arrives at Preet's funeral and offers his condolences. Baljinder and Sam get into an argument, but Preet's mother asks Sam to set fire to the pyre as her husband. The same man who appeared at their house the day before calls Baljinder, demanding repayment of his debt.

Despite feeling unwell, Dhanwant shows up at the bus station, where she runs into Garundi. The two cops examine the CCTV footage to determine where Johnny was headed. Garundi notices that Johnny's student dropped him off at the station and goes looking for him. He chases after the boy, who is in a rickshaw. The cops chase after the rickshaw, which ends up crashing into a car.

Meanwhile, Charu calls Dhanwant to inform her about a voice note that Sam had sent to Preet. Dhanwant plays the voice note and learns that Sam was asking Preet to return his money. Garundi calls Dhanwant to inform her that Johnny was headed to Himachal Pradesh.
