Kohrra – Season 2 Episode 2 1

The episode shifts back to the present day, where Garundi is seen driving Dhanwant to her husband's shop. Dhanwant asks her husband to accompany her to the IVF clinic and throws his bottle of alcohol in the trash can outside. Garundi, observing this, tries to strike up a conversation with Dhanwant on the ride to the station. Dhanwant enquires about Johnny's whereabouts and learns that the higher-ups are not taking this case seriously. Both cops then visit Sam's house and ask him questions about Preet. Dhanwant also asks about the kids and learns that Loveleen was a nanny whom Preet herself hired from India. Sam reveals that Loveleen lived with them in the USA.

Sam tells the cops that Preet had refused to go back to the States with him after learning that he was texting another woman. He gets defensive when Garundi accuses him of threatening Preet. Sam reveals that Preet had transferred $600,000 (~Rs. 5 crore) from their joint business account to her personal account, damaging their restaurant business back in California. Sam claims that Preet is refusing to return the money to him and is coercing the guy to hand over their children's custody.

The scene is vividly portrayed with the tension and emotions running high between the characters involved. The dialogue is crisp and engaging, making the story more relatable and interesting for the audience.

After this conversation, Dhanwant and Garundi's suspicion towards Sam deepens, and they decide to delve into the legal notice that Preet had sent him before her murder. Meanwhile, a young boy from Jharkhand reports his father missing at the Dalerpura Police Station. The boy hands over a letter that his father wrote to him 20 years ago and shows the cops a photo of his parents from their wedding day, 23 years ago. The cop informs the boy that finding his parents will be a challenging task.

At the same time, Garundi and Aujla embark on a mission to find Bunny, who is currently filming a music video. Bunny reveals that she was never dating Johnny but used to talk to him. She discloses that she left Johnny's studio after transitioning from a dancer to an actress. Suddenly, Bunny receives a call and speaks to the caller in a nervous tone. Garundi asks Aujla to go through Bunny's phone records to discover who she was talking to.

That night, Dhanwant returns home and expresses her frustration with her husband for not visiting the IVF clinic. On the other hand, Silky informs Garundi that Rajji will be staying with them now that Jung is away on a pilgrimage. Garundi is upset and tries to talk to Silky about it, but she is preoccupied with caring for her pregnant sister-in-law.

The next day, Dhanwant learns that Garundi was accompanied by Aujla while interrogating Bunny. She confronts him about his negligence and claims that the defense attorney could use this against the police for conducting a sloppy investigation.

The scene unfolds with heightened emotions and intrigue, as each character's actions and reactions contribute to the overall tension and complexity of the narrative.

She urges him to assign a female officer to interrogate female suspects. At that moment, the owner of Johnny's dance studio visits the police station to speak with Dhanwant and Garundi. He reveals that Johnny was about to purchase the studio from him and had made an advance payment of Rs. 10,00,000 for it. The man claims that since Johnny has disappeared, he wants to sell off the property to someone else. Dhanwant advises the man to hire a lawyer to handle this matter legally.

Aujla shares Bunny's phone records with Dhanwant and reveals that the person she was speaking to during the interrogation was located in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. She asks Garundi and Aujla to go to Himachal Pradesh to search for Johnny.

Arun, the young boy who is searching for his parents, is working at street restaurants in the area to make a living. That night, Garundi informs Silky that he is going to Manali for an investigation. She becomes upset with him for leaving when Rajji is unwell. Silky lies to Rajji and claims that Garundi had to leave in a rush.

On the ride to Manali, Aujla and Garundi discuss Dhanwant's personal and professional life. Aujla reveals that Dhanwant's husband is an alcoholic and adds that she was suspended for messing up the paperwork of another NRI case in the past. He adds that she was reinstated in the police force after the death of her young son.

That night, Sam drops Loveleen off at her parents' house to spend some time with her family before going back to the States. She checks up on him and consoles Sam while he cries. Loveleen and Sam end up making out in the car as the episode comes to an end.
