In the opening moments of Episode 5 of Kohrra Season 2, a flashback unfolds, revealing Jagdish and Dhanwant's son, Nihaal, picking him up from a bar. A drunken Jagdish asks Nihaal to let him ride the motorcycle, and as they ride through the night, the father-son duo is hit by a car, resulting in Nihaal's tragic death.

The episode then shifts to the present, where Dhanwant finds herself at the same intersection where Nihaal's life was cut short. Inspector Khatri summons Dhanwant to meet him, and she asks Garundi to rush to work. Garundi tries to speak with Silky but is forced to leave immediately.
Dhanwant arrives at Baljinder's poultry farm, which burned down the night before. There, the police discover the charred remains of four human beings who were trapped inside the cottage. Baljinder is arrested, while Karamjot and her parents worry about their daughter, Twinkle.
The news about these labourers dying inside the cottage spreads like wildfire, with all media outlets covering it. Arun watches the news on a local customer's phone and rushes to the scene.
Inspector Khatri speaks with Dhanwant about Preet's murder case and gives her two days to solve the entire case. Dhanwant visits Pamma's family home and speaks with his aunt.
Meanwhile, Garundi is on the hunt for Malli, who has fled with his friend, Lakkha. Lakkha tells the police that Malli was a poor servant who had nothing to do with the fire. He reveals that Malli was at a hospital, getting treated for his own burns.
Arun shows up outside Baljinder's cottage, looking for his father. He goes to the hospital where the victims were taken and learns that out of the four victims, one had survived and was being treated.
That night, Garundi returns home to find that Silky has moved out. He goes to her parents' house looking for her. Silky refuses to talk to Garundi, claiming that she gave him the chance to come clean about his past during their honeymoon.
Meanwhile, Dhanwant relentlessly continues her search for Jagdish, conversing with her former friends in a state of helplessness as she is unable to locate him. Garundi embarks on a journey back to his hometown to confront Jung, where a bitter argument ensues. Garundi blames Jung for not only ruining his own marriage with Rajji but also Garundi's marriage with Silky.
The next morning, Arun sneaks into the burns ward, attempting to glimpse the sole survivor. He inquires about Rakesh Kumar, but the victim mentions Raju Sirda instead. Dhanwant stumbles upon Arun as he's fleeing the hospital and gives chase, only for him to manage an escape.
Dhanwant and Garundi interrogate Baljinder about the four laborers. Baljinder denies any involvement in the incident and claims that it's Karamjot who's trying to frame him. Dhanwant questions him about Raju Sirda, but Baljinder denies any connection to the man as well.
Dhanwant informs Garundi of the boy she encountered at the hospital and requests him to search for him. Arun shows up at Raju's house and attempts to attack the man, beating him up and blaming him for his father's death. Raju claims that he only provided Rakesh with a job, which leads to Raju's demise at the hands of a large stone thrown by Arun.
The police are alerted and arrive at Raju's house, where they find and arrest Arun. Inspector Khatri expresses dissatisfaction with Dhanwant and asks her to hand over the case to another officer. Dhanwant reminds him of her missing husband and her relentless efforts in solving the case. She insists on solving it herself, requesting Khatri to give her two more days.
Garundi redoubles his efforts to find Pamma and learns that Karamjot had requested Pamma's return to Punjab. Simultaneously, Malli appears at a clinic to receive treatment for his burned hand. The doctors alert the police, who arrest Malli at the hospital. While Malli is receiving treatment for his wound, Pamma arrives to kill him on Karamjot's orders.
Malli flees, jumping off a building in an attempt to escape. Pamma chases after him, and the police search for both Pamma and Malli. Dhanwant encounters Malli and threatens to shoot him when Pamma attacks her. He tries to strangle and kill Malli, but Dhanwant intervenes. Pamma then attacks Dhanwant, but she doesn't let go of his leg. Garundi arrives and chases after Pamma, leaving Dhanwant unconscious, her thoughts drifting towards Nihaal and Jagdish.
