In the opening of Episode 6 of Kohrra Season 2, a flashback to 20 years ago reveals the fate of five bonded laborers, taken to Bajinder's house. Four of them were sent to work at the family's poultry farm, while Rakesh Kumar was sent to work at his house. Malli introduces Rakesh to the Atyal family.
Garundi chases after Pamma, leading to a tense hand-to-hand combat. Eventually, Pamma is arrested and taken to the police station. Garundi threatens a fellow cop, suspecting him of tipping Pamma off. Twinkle arrives at the police station and reveals that Pamma's parents were raped and killed by the cops, which explains why he would never confess to anything.
Twinkle confesses that she asked Pamma to kill Preet, worried about her daughters' future as Preet was trying to claim what little was left of her father-in-law's property. She claims that Pamma was injured on the night of the murder and that when they tried to kill Preet, they discovered she was already dead. The cops test Pamma's blood samples and fingerprints but are stumped when they realize his fingerprints do not match the strangulation marks on Preet's neck.
Malli is in police custody when Dhanwant and Garundi interrogate him. He reveals that the Atyal family purchased the laborers two decades ago but had nowhere to send them when the farm was shut down. Baljinder asked him to chain the men up in the cottage. Dhanwant reminds Malli that he could have saved these men from burning to death. The cops interrogate Baljinder, who reveals that the laborers were purchased by his father and adds that he didn't do anything wrong in holding them hostage at his cottage.
A middle-aged man is arrested for trying to kidnap young children from a school. After learning that he is mentally unstable, Dhanwant asks for the man to be released. However, the following day, the man returns to the police station and ties himself to a rope nearby. Garundi is signing off the case papers when he recognizes the mentally unstable man. He shows him a photo of Rakesh Kumar and tries to get him to react. Dhanwant takes him to Baljinder's cell, where Baljinder reveals that the man is Rakesh Kumar and was sold to his family 20 years ago. He was let go two weeks before Preet's murder.
Garundi returns Sam's passport to him, allowing him to return to the USA. Loveleen gets her passport back as well. Sam confides in his father that he doesn't want to marry Loveleen because she would constantly remind him of the mistake he made in the past that led to Preet's death.
Since she failed to solve the case in two days, Dhanwant hands over the case to Sub Inspector Gill. She continues her search for Jagdish and is relieved to learn that he is alive and at a rehabilitation center. Dhanwant visits Jagdish and breaks down when she hears his testimony about his addiction to drinking. She decides to give him the space he needs while she lets go of Nihal's memories that she had been holding onto.
Rajji goes to see Silky and tries to speak on Garundi's behalf. She claims that Garundi is scared of losing her and asks her to forgive him.
Meanwhile, at the station, Dhanwant realizes something and takes Rakesh back to the Atyal house. She tells Garundi that Rakesh was so used to being tied up in the barn that he must have returned to the house on the night of Preet's murder. A flashback shows how Preet had found Rakesh chaining himself in the barn. When Preet tries to free him, asking him to go back home, Rakesh accidentally pushes her, killing her. Back in the present day, Preet's mother calls Rakesh ungrateful for killing her after all these years of living under the same roof as them. Dhanwant reminds the woman that Rakesh was forced to stay without the option of leaving, suggesting that he was treated as an object by the Atyal family.
With the case closed, Garundi still waits for Silky to return. Jung calls Garundi to the hospital to inform him about the birth of his son. He asks his younger brother to help him as Rajji was facing complications during childbirth. Garundi goes to the hospital and reconciles with his brother. The season ends with Silky showing up at the hospital to keep Garundi company while Jagdish gives Dhanwant a call.
