Meanwhile, Do-hyun comes to pick up Jun-kyung and drops her friend along the way. Jun-kyung's friend returns the ring she had dropped earlier, commenting on how Jun-kyung is softer than she pretends to be. That night, Do-hyun seems to snap out of his misery and stays by Jun-kyung's side as she wakes up with the ring on her finger. Both of them apologize and reconcile.

In another part of the story, Jin-ho is frantically searching for Ja-young, realizing that she has left of her own accord after witnessing him lie to her. He reads the note she left behind and cries to himself, while Ja-young looks for a suitable nursing home for herself. Eventually, Jin-ho finds her and apologizes, telling her that he couldn't live without her as they embrace each other, weeping.

After Yun-ju realizes that Do-hyun knows the truth and her last hopes of getting together with him are shattered, she tells Daniel the truth. Daniel is devastated and visits Do-hyun and Jun-kyung, telling them that his mother is taking him back to Germany. This is when Yun-ju arrives with the police at Do-hyun and Jun-kyung's place, demanding that Daniel be returned since Do-hyun isn't his biological father. Soon, Daniel and Yun-ju leave for Germany, but not before Daniel accepts Do-hyun as his father regardless—a bond forged not out of blood but out of choice. We also discover that Yun-ju had known the truth all along and used Do-hyun's kindness to her advantage.

As the events unfold, Jun-seo ultimately comes across Hye-on's book, realizing it chronicles their shared history and her undying affection for him, jolting him back to his senses. He rescinds his recruitment decision and retrieves his funds. With a clear conscience, Jun-seo and Hye-on engage in a heartfelt conversation, mending their differences. Both embrace each other, choosing their relationship quietly and vowing to work on it.

Once all the conflicts are resolved, the entire family gathers to celebrate Ja-young's birthday, where she bravely reveals her illness amidst the family's quiet yet profound support, painting a bittersweet scene. It's also revealed that Jun-seo now pursues a career as a meteorologist, while Hye-on becomes a successful author. Ja-young and Jin-ho continue to live a serene and joyful life at the campsite. Jun-kyung and Do-hyun are in the midst of wedding preparations and discussing adoption, as the episode beautifully reaches its conclusion—a moment where things aren't quite finished but are in motion, much like life itself.
