Episode 9 of "Love Me" unfolds with Jun-seo determined to forge ahead in life. He discusses his prospects with his professor, who connects him with a colleague to secure a teaching position at a university. Jun-seo is elated when he receives the call, only to soon realize that he must pay a substantial sum to be officially recruited.

Meanwhile, Jin-ho and Ja-young visit an acquaintance who has been diagnosed with cancer. Witnessing this deepens Jin-ho's resolve to live life to the fullest. He decides to sell the family house, though he hesitates as memories of raising his family there resurface.
Elsewhere, Jun-kyung and Do-hyun help Daniel move out of his father's house and into his mother's apartment. During this time, Do-hyun brings up the idea of living together to Jun-kyung. Inspired, Jun-kyung discusses it with her family, and they collectively decide that Jun-kyung and Do-hyun will move into the family home, while Jin-ho and Ja-young relocate to the campsite.
Jun-seo and Hye-on also decide to live together in Hye-on's rooftop apartment, allowing the family to reach an arrangement that works for everyone. Soon after, Yun-ju learns about Jun-kyung and Do-hyun moving in together. Disturbed by the news, she visits Jun-kyung's workplace unannounced and attempts to assert her authority as Daniel's mother, subtly implying that she will ultimately win Do-hyun's heart.
Elsewhere, relations between Jin-ho and his sister-in-law improve as his in-laws visit the campsite and spend time together with him and Ja-young. Back in the city, Do-hyun buys a ring and prepares to propose to Jun-kyung. That night, they miss dinner together due to his work commitments, prompting Jun-kyung to pack food for him. When she arrives at his workplace, she's shocked to see him with Yun-ju.
Back at the campsite, Ja-young calls Jin-ho asking whether he's seen her late dog, Bom, hinting that something may be wrong as the episode ends.
