Episode 1 of Lukkhe begins in the bustling city of Chandigarh, Punjab, where two friends, Lucky and Aman, share a passion for hockey and compete on the same team. After emerging victorious in the championship, the boys return home to find themselves being pursued by members of the rival team in their car. The rivals are enraged with Lucky for faking his injury, which ultimately led to their defeat in a penalty shootout. Additionally, Lucky is under the influence of a drug called Demon, leaving Aman deeply upset.

As Aman attempts to evade both the rival team and the pursuing cops, he swerves to avoid a truck and loses control of the car, resulting in a fatal crash. Aman dies on the spot, while Lucky is critically injured. Later, doctors discover drugs in Lucky's system, and he is brought to court for trial. Aman's father pleads with the court to reduce Lucky's sentence, leading Aman's parents to take him to a rehabilitation center.
Meanwhile, an aspiring rapper named MC Badnaam performs at a nightclub while a man secretly peddles drugs at the venue. Gurbani, an undercover cop, chases the dealer and demands to know his supplier's identity. The man reveals that Badnaam is his dealer. Gurbani kills him and instructs her teammates to dispose of the body outside the club. The next day, Gurbani's senior officer tells her to stop pursuing the drug investigation, but she stubbornly refuses to back down.
At the rehabilitation center, Lucky is asked to share his story. He suffers an anxiety attack and blames himself for Aman's death. His recovery buddy, Sanober, helps calm him down, though Lucky initially remains dismissive towards her. Over time, Sanober tries speaking to him during meals, and he slowly begins to warm up to her.
Over the next two weeks, Lucky finally gathers the courage to share his story with the group. He speaks about his friendship with Aman and how Aman constantly pushed him to quit drugs. Lucky admits that he wants to become a better person for his friend. Sanober feels proud of his progress, while Lucky credits her for helping him heal. In private, he asks Sanober to share her own story, but she asks him to trust her and give her some time.
Meanwhile, Badnaam discusses his dream of becoming rich and famous through both rap and drug dealing. Alongside his friends Padmini and Jaspinder, he manufactures drugs inside a music studio that doubles as a meth lab. Jaspinder urges Badnaam to focus on acquiring Methadone, also known as Mitta, the key ingredient required to make Demon pills.
Gurbani gathers information against Badnaam and his associates while also visiting the rehabilitation center where she watches Sanober perform a song dedicated to her friend Lucky. Gurbani is impressed by Sanober's ability to connect with people and help them heal.
That evening, Sanober stealthily ushered Lucky into her private quarters. As they shared an intimate moment, about to embrace in a tender kiss, Sanober suddenly withdrew, leaving Lucky embarrassed and disconcerted. He stormed out of the room, and at the same instant, Badnaam and Jaspinder made off with Mitta from a Wali-Cure Pharma truck.
Later, during dinner, Lucky met up with Sanober and apologized for his abrupt attempt at intimacy. As their time at the rehabilitation center drew to a close, he bid her farewell. Sanober was visibly upset and accused Lucky of disrupting her healing journey.
As they conversed, a nearby individual played a song by the famous rapper OG. The tune triggered Sanober's emotions, and she tried to stop it, resulting in an argument with two boys. Lucky intervened to diffuse the situation but soon found himself in a physical confrontation. Panicked, Sanober fled outside, and Lucky followed, soothing her until she finally confessed her feelings for him.
The next day, Sanober's brother Nihal, also known as Badnaam, arrived at the rehabilitation center with his friends to retrieve her. Badnaam and Jaspinder warned Lucky to keep his distance from Sanober. Before departing, Sanober said goodbye to Lucky and promised they would meet again.
Upon returning home, Lucky found Gurbani waiting for him. She questioned him about his connection to Sanober and Badnaam before offering him the chance to play hockey again if he agreed to become her informant. The episode ended with this exchange.
