Episode 7 of "Maamla Legal Hai" unfolds with a celebration among Tyagi, Mintu, Munshiji, Sujata, and the two interns, marking Tyagi's impending victory in the Bar Association elections. Sujata expresses her excitement for finally getting her chamber after 15 years. Meanwhile, Ananya and Vishwas embark on a journey to a rural village to offer free legal advice organized by the Patparganj District Court. There, Ananya encounters a 17-year-old girl named Guddu, who was married off at the age of 14.
Ananya is taken aback to learn that Guddu is a child bride. Accompanying Guddu is Pinky, another 17-year-old who is about to become a mother and had forced Guddu and her father to attend the legal drive. Guddu's father reveals that Sushil, the groom, is now being forced to marry someone else as he is 20 years old and of legal age. He explains that Sushil's father had approached a wealthier family and was aiming to cancel the child marriage.
Ananya attempts to persuade Guddu to pursue her education but Guddu insists on saving her marriage with Sushil. Ananya decides to help the girl and urges Guddu's father to file a police complaint against Sushil's father. However, Guddu's father is shocked to learn that filing a complaint would land both him and Sushil's father in jail. While Guddu is willing to accept the idea to save her marriage, Guddu's father opposes it.
Meanwhile, chaos ensues in the Bar Council office as the votes are cast and counted in front of the nominees. The candidates and their teams wait anxiously as the council members count the votes. Guddu, Ananya, Vishwas, and the group visit Sushil's house to speak with her father. There, Guddu tries to convince Sushil's father to reconsider his decision but the man remains firm in his refusal.
Sushil's father asserts that he has the legal right to cancel his son's marriage since Sushil is now 18 years old and has a government job. Guddu suggests that her father take out a loan to offer a higher dowry to Sushil's father, which shocks Ananya. Guddu's father threatens to file a complaint against Sushil's father and put him in jail. Sushil's father states that he doesn't mind going to jail for his son's sake.
At the bar council, the votes are tallied, and Phorey is announced as the winner. To Tyagi's disappointment, he learns that he had lost by just 24 votes. In the village, Guddu reveals to Ananya that she had sexual relations with Sushil because she thought she was married to him. She claims that this would make her a "jootan" - translated as "used goods," which no other man would want. Ananya tries to think of a solution to Guddu's problem using this revelation.
Meanwhile, Kazmi talks to Justice DB Sikri on the phone, revealing how Phorey is now the President of the Bar Council. Phorey meets Tyagi in the men's room and tries to belittle him. Tyagi gets angry and attacks Phorey. Mintu, the interns, and Sujata join him, and the group attacks Phorey.
At Sushil's house, the police beat him up with a cane for sexually assaulting a child - Guddu, as per the POCSO act. Since Guddu is a minor, Sushil, a 20-year-old, is accused of sexually assaulting her. Ananya tells Sushil's father that by refusing to acknowledge Guddu and Sushil's child marriage, he was inviting more trouble for his son. The man finally backs down and agrees to let Sushil and Guddu remain married. He also agrees to let the two live together once Guddu turns 18.
In Tyagi's office, Munshi is worried that Tyagi, Mintu, the interns, and Sujata will be arrested for assaulting the President of the Bar Association. Tyagi agrees to take the fall for everything. However, he gets a call from Justice DB Sikri from the High Court. Justice Sikri offers Tyagi the job of a judge at Patparganj District Court and claims how proud he is of Tyagi's achievements. Justice Sikri gives Tyagi 48 hours to confirm if he wants to take the job, and the episode comes to an end with Tyagi being confused.
