Episode 1 of the second season of "Mayfair Witches" opens with Rowan delivering the human embodiment of Lasher into the world. Just a handful of days have passed, yet baby Lasher's growth is eerily accelerated, exceeding the norms of natural development. Rowan is plagued by nightmarish visions of the spiritual Lasher lurking in the shadows, intent on reclaiming his offspring. These dreams serve as one impetus behind her decision to fortify the Mayfair mansion, where she now resides with her son, as well as to safeguard him from others who might harbor malicious intentions, such as Ciprien.

Amidst her concerns about Lasher's unprecedented growth rate, Rowan also grapples with hallucinations of Millie, who warns her of impending doom tied to Lasher. Despite these warnings, Rowan views the boy solely as her flesh and blood, refusing to acknowledge him as the human incarnation of Lasher. Within the blink of an eye, the infant transforms into a toddler, demanding his innate powers—powers that currently reside within Rowan. She endeavors to delve into her son's mind, seeking clarification on his intentions, but finds the task insurmountable.

Turning to Dolly for guidance, Rowan might soon discover that the elderly woman she perceives as a benevolent mentor is not as innocent as she appears. Dolly welcomes Lasher's human form with glee, believing that his birth will amplify the Mayfair family's power base. She urges Rowan to seek insights from Cortland, conveniently forgetting that Rowan herself turned him into an inanimate stone statue—a silent guardian that, like the deceased, reveals no secrets.

Elsewhere in the narrative, Moira Mayfair, one of Tessa's sisters, returns to their hometown to mourn the loss of her sibling. Moira, a potent witch endowed with the ability to read minds, is haunted by questions. Why did Lasher spare others in the Mayfair coven but not her sister? Her presence adds another layer of complexity to the unfolding drama, as she seeks answers that may ripple through the very fabric of the Mayfair family's legacy.

Desperate for answers with no one to confide in, Rowan delves into Katherine's diaries, seeking any hint about Lasher's true intentions. Meanwhile, Ciprien struggles to penetrate the witchcraft-infused barriers surrounding the Mayfair house, ultimately falling short of his goal. Before retrying his mission, he imprints a cherished memory into his bible and entrusts it to Arjuna as a keepsake, fearing that the Talamasca might manipulate his memories and cause him to forget his solemn vow to save Rowan from Lasher's clutches. He envisions Lasher casting a spell over Rowan, transforming him into a charming prince destined to rescue her from the grasp of her demonic offspring.

However, his plans are abruptly interrupted by Albrecht, who forcefully recruits Ciprien to aid in defeating Lasher. Albrecht unveils that the Talamasca seeks to capture Lasher, as the boy poses a grave threat to the supernatural equilibrium. Albrecht urges Ciprien to sway Moira to their side.

As Baby Lasher's demonic nature matures, Rowan is gripped by terror, anticipating the awakening of his sinister instincts at any moment. She toys with the notion of terminating him but finds herself unable to carry out the deed. Instead, she adopts a strategy of pretending to be his ally to earn his trust, although Lasher remains guarded due to Dolly's warning against disclosure.

A minor skirmish erupts, culminating in Rowan accidentally injuring Lasher. She seizes the opportunity, using his blood to conduct a DNA test, hoping to gain a deeper understanding of her son. She hurries to the hospital to process the sample and reaches out to an old friend, Sam Larkin, a renowned medical researcher, to perform more sophisticated analyses. Oblivious to the true nature of his task, Sam eagerly agrees to assist Rowan, believing he is aiding one of her patients.

While at the hospital, Rowan uses her new powers to heal a young girl about to die from cancer. She also runs into Jojo and asks if the offer to be a brain surgeon at the Mayfair hospital still stands. Of course, Jojo says it is and agrees to head back to the house to talk about Cortland. They arrive to find Moira trying to talk to Lasher.

Thankfully, Dolly has music playing to keep Moira from reading her thoughts. She also doesn’t allow Moira to see Lasher. Rowan apologises to Moira for her role in Tessa’s death. Still, Moira wants answers, and even though she leaves, she is determined to try again. Rowan invites her to return at a better time when Lasher is grown enough to remember the past and can give her the answers she seeks. However, Dolly warns Rowan to be cautious around Moira.

After Moira leaves, Lasher asks about Tessa, and Rowan does her best to spare him the gory details. At this point, Lasher is already a young teenage boy but confused about his past. Rowan tries to assure him that maybe his purpose is to be good for the sake of their family. However, Lasher disagrees and tries to kiss Rowan. She pulls him away, and he confesses his love for her.

This catches Rowan off-guard, and she warns him not to do that again. She goes to the basement and tries to talk to Cortland’s statue. Unfortunately, Cortland can hear her, but he can’t respond. He is stuck in a never-ending loop filled with rooms and is being haunted.

Following his argument with his mom, young Lasher, now a teenager, heads out to a club. He is immediately taken by a girl, and he approaches her. Sadly, his night out ends in tragedy when something happens and the girl dies. He takes her back to his house and asks Rowan to fix her. Unfortunately, Rowan can’t resurrect the dead girl. She tricks Lasher and locks him in the basement while she grieves her choices.

After regaining her composure, she discreetly discards the girl's body into the depths of the river. Returning to the house, Lasher shatters the basement window and flees, his heart pounding. As he makes his way out, his eyes catch a glimpse of the deceased girl's bag, which he opens with trepidation. Inside, he discovers her ID, revealing that she belongs to the esteemed family of Mayfair witches. By the time Lasher manages to squeeze through the window frame and escape, he has undergone a transformation, now embodying the physique of a fully grown man. The episode concludes with his shadowy figure departing from the haunting Mayfair mansion, leaving behind a trail of mystery and intrigue.
