In the third episode of "Memory of a Killer," Angelo drives home from Dutch's birthday celebration, reflecting on the events that transpired the night of Dr. Robert Parks' murder. He laments his missed opportunity to shoot Parks, who pressed a distress signal and fled the lab. Later that night, Dutch's cousin, Eddie, arrives at the restaurant to inform him that an Internal Affairs detective named Marco Garcia is investigating Dutch's company. The detective has evidence against McGee and Angelo, the two assassins working for Dutch.

Dutch orders the assassins to kill the detective, making it look like an accident, with Angelo taking responsibility for the murder. Meanwhile, Dutch reveals to Angelo that he worked with Eddie in the past when the NYPD was investigating him. This revelation surprises Angelo, who is unhappy with Dutch for hiding this detail.
The next day, Maria starts to panic as she hears gunshots while doing everyday tasks like buying groceries.
