As he's given clearance to see Maria, who's doing well despite being grazed by a bullet during the attack, Angelo also checks on his daughter. Maria assures him that she's fine, but the revelation that her mother's killer, Earl, has been released from prison sends her into a panic. Angelo tries to reassure her and receives a call from Dave, informing him that Earl is in police custody and being interrogated.

In the interrogation room, Dave questions Earl about his whereabouts from the previous afternoon. Earl denies any involvement in the shootout but reveals that he overheard someone talking about shooting a bounty. Dave is then called out to speak with FBI agent Linda Grant over the phone, and he advises Angelo to disregard Earl's comments, which seem to be the result of his alcoholism.

Angelo leaves to return to his hideout, still preoccupied with the "Ferryman" detail mentioned by Earl. Dutch leaves him a voice note, calling him out for lying and requesting a meeting. Later that night, Angelo confronts Dutch, and the two men engage in a heated argument about Carl's murder. Angelo doubles down on his lie that he didn't kill Carl and asks Dutch to check with Nicky.

The episode continues to unfold with tension and intrigue, leaving viewers eager to see what will happen next.

Dutch later assigns Angelo a new mission to eliminate a mob accountant, Patavoukas. Angelo is concerned about drawing attention to themselves, but Dutch asks him to retrieve a flash drive from the accountant's safe before eliminating him. That night, Maria and Jeff discuss her father. Jeff claims that Angelo is hiding something from them, but Maria stands by her father's side.

The next morning, Angelo returns to the restaurant to try and figure out who attacked Maria. He calls Belinda for help. Meanwhile, Joe poses as a pool cleaner and arrives at Patavoukas' house along with Angelo. There, the two men eliminate Patavoukas' bodyguards and force him to open his safe.

Patavoukas offers Angelo cash to spare his life, but Angelo shoots him before taking the flash drive. Later that day, Dave informs Angelo that Earl has been brought in for questioning and that the FBI is looking at him for the shooting. Dave claims that he was able to procure four out of five bullets from the restaurant and wonders where the remaining bullet went.

Angelo doesn't reveal that he had taken the bullet for his own research. In his hideout, Angelo looks through his database and is unable to find an exact match for the odd-looking bullet.

The following morning, Angelo awakes in the hospital beside Maria's bed, overhearing Dave's conversation with Linda. Linda encourages Angelo to recount the events of the incident, despite his hazy memory, commending his bravery during the attack. In the hospital room, Dave attempts to soothe Maria's nerves, while Jeff arrives to inform her that they can return home. An awkward tension lingers between the trio.

Later that night, Angelo encounters Belinda, who crafts custom bullets, inquiring about the shooter's weapon. She denies having made the bullet, prompting Angelo to realize that Belinda's assistant, Wesley, had secretly created it. The next day, Angelo tracks down Henry Bloch, the shooter, at a motel. He confronts Henry and coerces him into revealing his mysterious employer—a figure known only as "The Ferryman." Enraged, Angelo throws Henry off a bridge into the river and struggles to find his way back to his car. Eventually, he makes it back and is relieved to have escaped the forest.

Meanwhile, Linda visits Maria at her house to discuss the shooting. Maria reveals Angelo's military background, which explains his quick reflexes during the attack. Linda shares her personal loss,提及Leah's murder, and warns Maria that her life is still in danger. Maria confides in Jeff about her fears.

That evening, Angelo brings groceries for Maria and joins her and Jeff for dinner. Jeff notices Angelo's luxury jacket left behind and shows it to Maria, who grows suspicious of her father. She finds the news article about Patavoukas in the jacket pocket.

Later that night, Angelo attends Dutch's restaurant for his 60th birthday. He discusses Joe's irresponsibility with Dutch, who urges patience with his nephew, who is learning the art of assassination. Maria looks up the news article and learns about Patavoukas' murder earlier that day.

The following morning, Maria returns the jacket to Angelo and brings up the luxury brand. Angelo spins a lie about how he acquired it, and they leave together. Angelo notices Maria's hesitation but she doesn't say anything. The episode ends with Angelo discovering the news article in the jacket pocket and growing concerned.
