The episode kicks off with Harry Da Souza (Tom Hardy) stealthily entering the bedroom of a slumbering Antoine Arloud (Gregoire Colin). Antoine stirs from his sleep, startled by Harry's unexpected presence. With a cheerful "Good morning," Harry abruptly pulls the covers back and tugs Antoine to the edge of the bed. He demands the memory stick, to which Antoine feigns ignorance. Harry outlines his intentions, hinting darkly at consequences that could land Antoine in ICU for a week if he doesn't comply. Reluctantly, Antoine retrieves the memory stick from a drawer and hands it over. Not satisfied, Harry presses for the copy, and after an initial denial, Antoine reluctantly surrenders it as well.

Harry then insists that Antoine stay away from Bella Harrigan (Lara Pulver). Antoine nods in agreement. As Harry prepares to leave, Antoine throws out a 40,000-pound proposition, hoping to sway him. Pretending to be impressed, Harry seizes Antoine, stuffs the wad of money into his mouth,拒绝了他的提议, and strides out the door.

Elsewhere at Cotswold, Conrad Harrigan (Pierce Brosnan) and his dog are peacefully by the pond when his phone rings. He listens intently before acknowledging with a "All right." Meanwhile, Harry taps on the window to rouse Jan Da Souza (Joanne Froggatt), who curses him silently before unlocking the door. Karen informs Harry that Mike (Ben Jones) is absent, prompting him to claim they're staying to care for Mike's kittens and entering the houseboat. Jan demands to know where he spent the night, and he casually replies that he didn't sleep anywhere. Gina Da Souza (Teddie Allen) slips on her headphones in anger.

Conrad informs Maeve Harrigan (Helen Mirren) that undertaker Pete (Jim Conway) has notified him of the police discovering Archie Hammond's (Alex Jennings) body. In a separate scene, Harry recounts to Jan the grim tales of Eddie Harrigan (Anson Boon) stabbing Tommy Stevenson (Felix Edwards) sixty times and hiring Valijon (Peter Ferdinando) to dismember the corpse. He reveals Conrad's fatal shooting of Archie in front of his family and Richie Stevenson's (Geoff Bell) bombing of Kevin Harrigan's (Paddy Considine) house. He also mentions convincing Valijon to confess to Tommy's murder and securing a bed for Maria's mother in a care home. Jan expresses her disdain for his work but accepts it as part of their life. He agrees to take her and Gina home.

Back at Cotswold, Paul (Emmett J Scanlan) questions whether the body in the casket with the Scottish woman was really Archie's. Conrad argues that it was indeed Archie and someone must have tipped off the police. He asks Paul to wait in the hallway before confronting Maeve, suggesting that one of those present that night is a traitor and that only he and Harry knew where Archie was buried. She suggests Harry could be the informant, but Conrad dismisses the idea.

At the bustling yard, Kevin's voice quivered with apprehension as he expressed his fears about Valjon snapping. Harry's response was stark: if that happened, all wagers would be null and void. Meanwhile, at a dimly lit garage, Zosia (Jasmine Jobson) was engrossed in repairing a car when Donnie (Alex Fine) breezed in, boasting of some promising news for Harry. She feigned ignorance about Harry's whereabouts, but he persisted, scribbling down his number. She, in turn, snapped his picture. As he departed, Donnie wished her a cheerful day, to which she merely nodded. Swiftly, she reached out to Harry, forwarding him Donnie's snapshot. Harry scrutinized it but shook his head in negation, requesting her to inform him if Donnie resurfaced.

Elsewhere, in a serene therapy session, Jan pretended Harry was sitting beside her. She recounted the myriad events that had unfolded but confessed to feeling numb, her expectations as hollow as her receipts. Emily inquired if Harry instilled fear in her. Jan reassured her that Harry would never lay a finger on her or Gina, albeit living with him could sometimes evoke a chilling sensation. Emily delved deeper, asking about her perception of Harry and Kevin's bond. Jan, with a sincere smile, declared her fondness for Kevin.

Back at the yard, Harry probed Kevin about his memories of a certain Alan Rusby (Nigel Lindsay). Kevin's eyes flickered with memories of Rusby's brutal beatings. He denied knowing him, growing agitated under Harry's probing gaze. A call from Maeve interrupted the tense atmosphere, her voice cheerful as she inquired if Kevin was with Harry and relayed her greetings.

Later, in another therapy session, Jan vented about Harry's prioritization of his other family over her and Gina. As she stepped out, she quickly texted Alice (Emily Barber), extending an invitation for coffee. Unbeknownst to them, Paul watched from a parked car nearby, informing Conrad of Jan's movements.

Kevin, still at the yard, warned Bell to steer clear of Cotswold, revealing that she had an illicit affair with Conrad. He shared that Maeve had spilled the beans, and Bell had confessed under his scrutiny. Conrad, three decades her senior, had introduced her to Kevin. Elsewhere, Jan and Alice engaged in a lively discussion about their contrasting views on sexuality.

Kevin, haunted by guilt, admitted to Harry that he was too ashamed to reveal Bell's affair. Meanwhile, Alice marveled at the opulence of the Souza residence, with Jan casually mentioning Harry's profession in security. Alice, sharing her own news, revealed that Jason was a quantity surveyor.

At the yard once more, Harry received a call from Conrad, who inquired about Richie's whereabouts. Harry replied in the negative. Soon after, Conrad arrived at the Souza abode, catching Jan off guard. She quickly called him, introducing him to Alice amidst awkward pleasantries. Alice, sensing the tension, excused herself.

Conrad confronted Jan about their troubled marriage, his knowledge of it evident. She demanded to know who had tattled, but he remained tight-lipped. He emphasized that Harry was Kevin's brother and his flesh and blood, professing to only want the best for him. Jan countered that perhaps a separation would be best for Harry, arguing that the Harrigans were his true family. Conrad, placing his hand on her leg, persisted in his demands, which she futilely attempted to repel. Removing his hand abruptly, he ordered her never to discuss Harry with anyone outside their immediate family. She acceded, agreeing to his terms. As he left, he emphasized the confidentiality of their meeting.

Racing down the highway with the wind whipping past him, Harry received an urgent call from Richie, who instructed him to come alone to the Monkey Bar and arrive by midnight. Harry promptly informed Conrad and Kevin of the plan. Meanwhile, at Cotswold, Eddie vented to Maeve that Kevin and Harry showed him no respect. Maeve, with a sneer, dismissed his complaints, asking who cared about the ramblings of a疯子, and declared her love for Harry. Doubting their actions, Eddie sought reassurance from her. She confirmed that they had done the right thing and now, the Stevenson family viewed him as a strong leader. She warned that they would soon send another message, signaling their next move.

Elsewhere, Harry cautioned Jan that whatever she disclosed in therapy, Conrad would inevitably find out. Jan shared with him about Conrad's recent visit, prompting Harry to curse under his breath. Elsewhere, Detective Sergeant Ivan Fisk (Luke Mably) encouraged Alice to cultivate a closer relationship with Conrad, but she insisted on taking things slowly. In another corner, Harry lambasted Jan for her actions, prompting her to deny any wrongdoing and sarcastically compare the Harrigans to the Taliban. He warned her that when Conrad's wrath unleashed, she would wish they were.

Later, Harry handed Bella the memory sticks, reassuring her that it was all over. Bella, however, insisted on keeping her agreement with Antoine and dialed his number. Harry, realizing her intent, swiftly snatched her phone from her hand. She reminded him that he worked for the Harrigans and had obligations to fulfill. As he left, he encountered Kevin, who claimed to have been persuading Bella to take him back. During a call, Bella informed Antoine of her intent to honor their deal, but when a call from Harry popped up on her phone, she ignored it upon hearing a knock at the door. Peeking through the peephole, she saw Kevin and ended the call abruptly. Kevin requested a hug, which she granted, and then made him a Scotch. He inquired about her conversation with Harry, and she feigned that he had sought her advice on a gift for Jan. Kevin invited her to accompany him to Cotswold, but she politely declined.

Driving along the road, Kevin was haunted by a flashback of Rusby sexually assaulting him. At the Monkey Bar, Richie instructed Harry to handle Valjon while he trusted his instincts. Olie Donker (Arnold Oceng) handed Harry a gun and unveiled a bloodied and battered Valjon. Harry passed the gun to Richie, broke off a chunk of concrete, and repeatedly stabbed Valjon with it. Insisting on cleaning up the mess, he inquired about the restroom. Later, Harry informed Kevin that Richie believed Valjon was responsible for Tommy's demise. Kevin expressed his gratitude to God and hailed Harry as a genius. However, Harry relayed that Richie had requested the presence of the Harrigans at Tommy's funeral, which Kevin cursed in frustration.
