Motorheads – Season 1 Episode 8 1

The school's homecoming looms, with Marcel at the helm of designing the theme, eagerly preparing for his grand entrance. Curtis and Cate, however, decline the invitation, opting instead to bury their heads in the mountain of work in the garage. At the racetrack, Sam looms over Logan and Zac, casting a skeptical eye on Logan's claims of readiness for competition.

Elsewhere, Harris ponders strategies to outpace Zac in the upcoming race, piloting the car he wrested from Mateo. With the race a week away, Cate harbors hope that the UNB10 will rise phoenix-like from its ashes. Marcel rejoices in the return of his beloved ride.

Harris, desperate to spruce up his race car, approaches his father for funds. The elder Harris reveals that the proceeds from selling buildings are locked in a trust, unlockable only upon his son's 25th birthday. Enraged, Harris storms out, as Zac, too, finds himself in a stormy confrontation with his mother, who, in his perception, doubts his racing prowess.

Upon his release, Ezra sets his sights on Hugo, intent on collecting the promised dough. With Ironwood a mere stopping point, he demands his money now. Hugo, in turn, seeks out Logan, revealing the heist was his brainstorm, despite his absence during the crime. Logan, empty-pocketed, offers no solace. Disappointed by Hugo's fruitless search, Ezra issues a chilling ultimatum.

At school, Curtis has a change of heart upon discovering Brooke's fanaticism for "Mad Max," opting to attend the dance. Alicia and Harris settle their breakup with a clean slate, while Kiara confides in Alicia, torn between her emerging crush and parental approval. Zac, learning of Alicia and Harris's split, decides to join the festivities too. Cate, stepping in as Marcel's last-minute date after his other prospects bail, finds herself accompanying him to the dance. Sam and Darren, taking on the roles of chaperones, complete the evening's lineup.

The dance buzzes with vitality until Harris's heated spat with Brooke disrupts the harmony. He, heartbroken over Alicia, pressures Brooke into dating him. Brooke, fury flaring, draws a crowd. Declaring her newfound affection for Curtis, she faces Harris's insulting retort, branding her as nothing more than a rebound fling.

Curtis engages in a heated altercation with Harris, eventually departing the scene with Brooke by his side. Meanwhile, Alicia's anger ignites upon discovering Zac's omission regarding Harris and Brooke's involvement, leaving her feeling betrayed. Kiara, on the other hand, holds a favorable view of Zac, believing his silence in potentially dismantling Harris and Alicia's relationship speaks volumes of his character and restraint.

Sam receives disturbing news: Darren betrayed their town by aligning with bandit technology, a revelation that strains his relationship with Harris. He laments not having sought Harris's input, instead making assumptions. Darren cautions Sam to avoid repeating this mistake with Zac, urging her to lend him an ear.

Marcel harbors dreams of being crowned Homecoming King, only to see those aspirations dashed as Kiara and Harris are declared Queen and King respectively. With Harris absent, Kiara faces the task of selecting a dance partner. It seems she's leaning towards Cate, but Noah swoops in at the last moment, stealing her attention. Alicia observes this exchange, speculating that Kiara might harbor feelings for Cate. Sam ponders giving Zac the green light to compete in a race.

Elsewhere, Logan joins Hugo in meeting Ezra, who has made a new acquaintance, Ray. Ezra reveals Hugo's presence in the car to Ray, prompting Logan and Hugo to halt their confrontation plans due to Ray's presence. Later, Hugo inquires about Christian's whereabouts, mentioning he found Christian's gloves in the garage. Logan reveals he rescued Christian from drowning.

Cate exits the party solo, making her way back to the garage. Alicia chauffeurs Kiara home and then takes a leisurely stroll around the race track with Zac. Marcel returns to the diner, where he reunites with Brooke and Curtis. At the race track, Alicia and Zac's connection deepens, culminating in a tender kiss.

Back at the garage, Cate finally cracks the code, activating the lights and radio of the UNB10. Curtis arrives unexpectedly, and the two share a heartfelt slow dance, bringing the episode to a romantic close.
