The fourth episode of "Murder Mindfully" kicks off with an exhilarating scene as the police forcibly enter Ms. Bregenz's residence. Flashing back a few hours prior to the raid, we reconnect with Diemel, who visits Kathrina and Emily. Murder Mindfully – Season 1 Episode 4 1

Kathrina engages Diemel in conversation about Emily's preschool, revealing a pressing issue: all the kindergartens in the vicinity have denied Emily admission. Kathrina hands Diemel one of the rejection letters, highlighting the school's refusal to associate with a lawyer whose client attempted to coerce them into converting their institution into a brothel.

Kathrina presents Diemel with an ultimatum: resolve the situation within three days, or she and Emily will relocate to her mother's place. Determined to act, Diemel heads to the kindergarten but is promptly turned away. After his personal rejection, Diemel delves deeper into the school's operations and discovers that the school directors are manufacturing sustainable streetwear from old tires. However, their production involves factories that exploit child labor.

Diemel decides to confront Sascha at a playground, showing him Dragan's cryptic message. Using a newspaper, he underscores specific words and adds Dragan's fingerprints to lend authenticity to the note. Sascha confides in Diemel, expressing his concerns that Toni might have set up Dragan by giving him faulty information, sparking a turf war. Toni used Murat to mislead Dragan, Sascha believes, and Murat was likely killed because he knew too much and intended to share it with Diemel. Sascha also alleges that Toni boasts about having a corrupt cop on his payroll, making it plausible that Diemel's phone might be tapped. Offering to arrange security for Diemel, Sascha's gesture is politely declined by the steadfast lawyer.

Ultimately, Diemel conveys the message to Sascha, who is astonishment struck by Dragan's preoccupation with a kindergarten amidst the looming turf war tensions. Diemel suggests that perhaps Dragan has his eyes set on the future, hypothesizing that maintaining the kindergarten during the anticipatory period for a brothel permit could yield greater profits. Intrigued, Sascha agrees to carry out Dragan's directives, even contemplating the possibility of his own children attending the institution.

Following his conversation with Sascha, Diemel dispatches a message to Toni, alerting him to Dragan's presence at Ms. Bregenz's residence. He then proceeds to the office, where he inks the agreement with the trio of partners, showing them Dragan's coerced signature without their suspicion. As he exits, he encounters staff members administering emergency care to Ms. Bregenz, who collapsed upon receiving a police call informing her of a grenade being tossed into her apartment.

Toni, persistent in his desire for a discussion, reaches out to Diemel and finds him outside the building. His threats hang heavily in the air, but Diemel remains composed. He inquiries how the police managed to track Ms. Bregenz's location, a detail he solely shared with Toni. Toni counters that their phones might have been compromised.

However, the conversation escalates when Toni invokes the safety of Diemel's daughter. Diemel firmly asserts his authority, reminding Toni of Dragan's supremacy. Toni must await Dragan's directives, he insists. If Dragan is indeed alive, Toni expresses regret, but if Diemel's words are false, he vows to eliminate both Diemel and Emily.

Concurrently, Egmann and Moller arrive at Ms. Bregenz's abode. Egmann receives a call informing her of the discovery of Dragan's ring finger, news she eagerly shares with Moller, viewing it as a pivotal breakthrough. They realize they might be investigating a murder, not a missing person case.

On the flipside, Sascha and Diemel converge at the kindergarten, where Diemel unfolds his suspicions regarding Toni and the grenade incident at Bregenz's abode, leaving Sascha astounded. Inquisitively, Sascha inquiries about taking charge of the kindergarten, to which Diemel responds with a deceitful nod, claiming it was Dragan's wish.

The duo then confronts the school directors, wielding their influence to coerce them into selling their stakes to Dragan's corporation. Initially, the directors stand firm in their refusal, but after enduring a few shattered noses and their computer systems being breached, they find themselves reluctantly concurring with Diemel's perspective.

Upon successfully concluding the negotiations, Diemel reaches out to Kathrina, eager to share the triumphant news. However, his enthusiasm is abruptly halted as a mob of masked men descends upon Sascha and Diemel, swiftly obscuring their identities before abducting them.
