Immediately following the conclusion of the previous episode, Eraser Head swiftly binds Knuckleduster with his cloth, casting suspicion on the vigilante as a potential villain. Confident in his ability to curb the vigilante's onslaught with Erasure, his quirk that negates the effects of others' powers, he stands ready. However, to his surprise, Knuckleduster continues his relentless charge, revealing that he possesses no powers; his incredible strength is purely natural.

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes – Episode 2 1

Meanwhile, the businessman whom Knuckleduster had been questioning seizes the moment to flee. Pop☆Step, sharp as a tack, notices he was featured prominently in numerous photographs linked to incidents involving people losing control of their quirks. Without hesitation, she pursues him. Koichi, eager to lend a hand, attempts to follow her, but is intercepted by the three thugs from Episode 1, now far more powerful and formidable, rendering escape all but impossible.

Fortunately for Koichi, Eraser Head terminates his engagement with Knuckleduster, realizing the vigilante's innocence due to his lack of powers. This fortuitous turn gives the hero the opportunity to arrive on the scene and strip the three criminals of their abilities. Yet, the battle is far from over.

Desperation sets in for the businessman, who throws open his briefcase to reveal a cache of drugs cleverly concealed within dolls. After self-administering the drug, he transforms into a towering four-armed giant and snatches Pop from the fray. Knuckleduster, undeterred by the monster's newfound size and strength, swings across the cityscape like Spider-Man, delivering a decisive blow to the giant's cranium.

Now, it's Koichi's moment to shine. Spotting Pop tumbling from the giant's grasp, he dashes to her rescue without hesitation. In this defining moment, he proves to himself that even with a seemingly insignificant power, he can embody the true essence of a hero.

With a daring leap from a towering wall, Koichi soared through the air, timing his descent perfectly to meet her and aiding her in establishing a foothold to unleash her unique ability, Leap. His body still pulsating with adrenaline, he cleverly utilized the villain's outstretched hand as a stepping stone, sliding skillfully back to safety. Just as he secured his retreat, Eraser Head made his triumphant return, his power nullifying the villain's menace entirely. With the immediate threat neutralized, he issued a stern warning to Knuckleduster, cautioning that vigilantes often exacerbate dangers rather than alleviate them, before departing the scene.

Emboldened by their successful collaboration, Pop, Koichi, and Knuckleduster solidified their bond, forming an official team. On a subsequent occasion, Pop stumbled upon a brawl between two middle schoolers, their quirks flaring in the heat of conflict. She swiftly alerted her teammates to the scene. Koichi, now adorned in specialized gloves and equipment designed to maximize his powers, appeared almost instantaneously. He attempted to intervene, proudly introducing himself under his new moniker, the Crawler. However, his overconfidence remained unabated, leading the youths to taunt and physically assault him.

Before Knuckleduster could retaliate with excessive force, Pop stepped in, employing her diplomatic prowess to defuse the tense situation. Suddenly, a monster endowed with the ability to harden its form emerged from nowhere, wreaking chaos upon the landscape. Its rampage caused a baby's stroller to teeter precariously on the brink of disaster, but the Crawler, empowered by his newfound speed, acted swiftly to secure the child's safety.

Without hesitation, he and Knuckleduster synchronized their efforts to bring down the rogue, who bore a blackened tongue—a telltale sign of the quirk-enhancing drug Ideo Trigger. Their seamless teamwork enabled Knuckleduster to overpower the civilian threat within moments.

Hours later, the authorities arrived, revealing the identity of the drug. The investigating officers harbored mixed feelings regarding vigilante involvement, with one ultimately declaring their actions criminal.
