The subsequent day unfolds with Soo-hyun stepping into her psychiatrist's clinic to renew her sleeping pill prescription. A sudden flashback transports us to a time when she temporarily halted her professional endeavors to seek medical solace for Shim Jin-woo in the United States, returning empty-handed.

In parallel, Soo-hyun and her team embark on devising strategies to elevate Yoo Jin-woo's career trajectory. Jin-woo later unburdens himself to Shim Jin-woo and Ji-yeong about his financial obligations and the regrettable accident, only to realize that Soo-hyun's business card had inadvertently been left behind at the scene, igniting a spark of apprehension within him.

As night descends, Soo-hyun, her nights dominated by insomnia, spots Jin-woo slipping out of their residence like a shadow. Alongside Jun-seok, she trails him to a club, where Jin-woo seeks Chris's counsel on the misplaced business card. However, Chris waves it off as a mere triviality. Upon their return, Jin-woo is found indulging in a stress-induced binge by Soo-hyun and Jun-seok, who silently acknowledge his emotional distress, their eyes reflecting concern and empathy.

The following day, Jin-woo conceals his nocturnal adventures at the club, while Jun-seok extends an invitation to Ji-yeong to join their practice sessions for the prestigious "Star Rise" competition. Disheartened by her company's indifference towards long-term trainees, Ji-yeong eagerly accepts the offer. Together, they perform in front of Jeong-hwa's café patrons, delivering a stunning act that captivates everyone in attendance.

Elsewhere, Hyun-chul, Pandora's newly appointed CEO, becomes aware of Soo-hyun's dedication to nurturing a fresh talent, sparking curiosity about his motives and possible meddling. At the "Star Rise" registration venue, the producers taunt Jin-woo about his background, causing him to abruptly bolt to the bathroom in a state of panic. Soo-hyun trails him but finds him regained his composure upon returning. Meanwhile, the episode unveils that Ha-na, a contestant backed by nepotism, shares a past with Chris from their trainee days. Both also seem entwined with a former trainee who was close to Hyun-chul and tragically perished in an accident—a revelation that hints at deeper rifts and unresolved matters lurking within Pandora Entertainment.

Returning home, Soo-hyun and Jun-seok fine-tune their strategy for Jin-woo's first-round performance. The subsequent day, Soo-hyun chauffeurs Jin-woo and Ji-yeong to the competition, reassuring Jin-woo to place his trust in her discernment. Jin-woo delivers a mesmerizing performance, singing a heartfelt song that poignantly mirrors his life's struggles.
