In the tenth episode of "Nice to Not Meet You," Hyeon-jun patiently awaits Jeong-sin as she's dropped off at her apartment by Jae-hyeong. He hides around the corner, but his luck runs thin when a group of school kids spot him. Thankfully, they play along and keep Jeong-sin in the dark. Back at home, Jeong-sin sends another message to Melomaster on the Onion app, urging him not to feel pressured, after he hadn't responded to her previous text.
At work, Hwa-young stumbles upon the jacket Jae-hyeong had draped around Jeong-sin, sitting on her chair. She returns it to him, reminding him that she gifted it to him for his birthday. When Jeong-sin arrives, she asks Hwa-young to arrange for another writer to cover Kang Pil-gu as she's a fan and won't be impartial.
Meanwhile, Hyeon-jun waits for Jeong-sin to arrive for an interview, deleting the Onion app in the meantime. However, he's surprised to see Hwa-young show up in her stead. Hwa-young reveals Jeong-sin's reasons for the substitution and Hyeon-jun seems disappointed that he won't be seeing Jeong-sin again. Hwa-young asks Hyeon-jun point-blank if he likes Jeong-sin and proposes a team-up to prevent Jeong-sin and Jae-hyeong from getting together.
Elsewhere, Jeong-sin meets an old colleague who's now a professor and inquires about Assemblyman Ha Gee-wan. The professor tells her of a rumor from the past that Ha Gee-wan received land from Lee Dae-ho under a borrowed name.
As for Byeong-gi, he learns the shocking revelation that Seon-u is Hyeon-jun's real brother. He also meets Seong Ae-suk, who begs him to give her a role in Kang Pil-gu as well.
When Hwa-young returns to the office, she's surprised to learn that Jeong-sin wants to return to working at the Kang Pil-gu set. Hyeon-jun calls her to the set for an interview, where Byeong-gi wears a disguise to hide from her. When Jeong-sin arrives for the interview, she asks Hyeon-jun to sign a photograph for her new colleague's son, who's a fan. He invites her and the crew out for dinner after the shoot, but she casually brushes it off. Instead, she decides to send pictures of the set to Melomaster and realizes he's deleted his account.
The shoot commences with a bang, and Hyeon-jun dazzles Jeong-sin with his daring stunts, all performed by himself to impress her. His effort pays off, drawing her into the scene. She also realizes that Hyeon-jun overheard his stuntman discussing a twisted ankle and chose to do the stunts himself instead. However, during the stunts, Hyeon-jun injures his ankle and is rushed to the hospital. Despite the pain, he tells Jeong-sin to publish her article on his injury, hoping she can get the exclusive.
At the hospital, Hwa-young meets Hyeon-jun and reminds him that he was supposed to confess his feelings to Jeong-sin after the shoot. They argue over it, but Hwa-young comes up with a new plan. That night, Jeong-sin drunkenly calls the Onion customer service, pleading for Melomaster's phone number, tears streaming down her face when she doesn't get it. The next day, Hwa-young gives Jeong-sin a movie ticket to make up for the dinner with Jae-hyeong that she took from her. Of course, it's all a setup, and Jeong-sin finds herself sitting next to Hyeon-jun in the theater.
Unfortunately, Jae-hyeong and his mother end up at the same movie theater, right next to Jeong-sin. In the middle of the movie, Mr. Hwang calls Hyeon-jun and tells him to come home to discuss something important. When he returns to the theater, Jeong-sin is gone, having left for some urgent work. It turns out that she's meeting Se-na, who informs her that Lee Dae-ho and Ha Gee-wan are working on a major financial deal together, which also involves the merger with Hyeon-jun's company. Se-na later calls Dae-ho and says that she told Jeong-sin what he wanted her to say.
When Hyeon-jun gets home, Mr. Hwang and Byeong-gi tell him that Ae-suk will be playing a small role in Kang Pil-gu. Hyeon-jun initially balks but is soon forced to accept it. At the Sports Eunseong office, Jae-hyeong notices that Jeong-sin isn't at her desk. Hwa-young takes him out for brunch and then reveals that Jeong-sin has been assigned to cover Lim Hyeon-jun. Later, Hyeon-jun meets Dae-ho and Jae-hyeong for lunch at a restaurant. During their meal, Dae-ho receives a message from Se-na and meets her outside the restaurant. She seems concerned about Hyeon-jun's wellbeing. After the meal, Hyeon-jun and Jae-hyeong come across Jeong-sin and Hwa-young. Jae-hyeong invites Jeong-sin for tea, and the episode ends with Hyeon-jun and Hwa-young joining in on the fun as well.
