Meanwhile, Jang Do-cheol's inner turmoil escalates, haunted by the specters of those he's wronged in pursuit of shamanic power. His deteriorating health, marked by coughing up blood and fainting spells, brings him to Lee Yoon's hospital, rekindling the CEO's interest in him.

Eun-ho and Si-yeol's volunteer work takes a dramatic turn when they learn of Hwang Dong-sik's death. Through his family, Eun-ho learns that Hwang's downfall was due to his obsession with creating a better drug, which cost him everything. Guilt-ridden, Eun-ho convinces Si-yeol to donate their savings as condolence money, inadvertently strengthening Geum-ho 2.0's spiritual powers.

It becomes clear that Hwang wasn't Eun-ho's client but the Chairman Kim, who had her investigate successful drugs and coerce Hwang into selling them to him. Eun-ho's intervention leads to Chairman Kim donating his headquarters building to the Hwang family, a triumph for justice.

To celebrate their good deed, Geum-ho 2.0 suggests a buffet dinner, but they're short on funds. Si-yeol steps up to the challenge, earning money through his sole expertise—football.

A match-up between a top second-division team and Si-yeol's fourth-division squad sees the game in jeopardy until Si-yeol steps onto the field, turning the tide with his exceptional skills. Eun-ho is captivated by his presence, but the opposing team resorts to dirty tactics, tying the game with a penalty kick.

Instead of celebrating, Si-yeol's focus shifts to his team's poor conditions, revealing their struggles with finances and part-time jobs that prevent them from training properly. Despite this setback, he finds solace in his upcoming date with Eun-ho, who suggests borrowing money from a teammate who's slightly better off. The episode ends with anticipation for what lies ahead for this unlikely couple as they navigate their newfound feelings and challenges.

The night unfolds as a classic date for Eun-ho and Si-yeol, commencing with the symbolic act of locking a love lock on Namsan tower. She inscribes her wish for a return to normalcy, which elicits a playful bickering from Si-yeol, who finds her too unromantic. Their dinner takes a somber turn as he reveals that his celebrity status has prevented him from having a typical dating life, including holding hands in public. Eun-ho feels a twinge of sadness knowing that she has the privilege to erase memories once their fun is through.

Meanwhile, Yoon and Do-cheol execute a surprise attack on Woo-seok and his father, knocking out the latter. Do-cheol reawakens Woo-seok's memory, and the boy shares the news that Eun-ho has regained her human form.

Back to their date, Eun-ho takes a leap and publicly holds Si-yeol's hand. His mind teems with thoughts about her earlier comment about memory erasure, and he harbors a deep desire to preserve their memories together. He doesn't want her to erase his memory, as he cherishes the thought of remembering her. She accepts that she will be sad to lose him but emphasizes that he deserves a normal life, which would be impossible if he retained the memory of the fate-switching. Knowing that he won't remember this moment, he kisses her, sealing their current reality with a tender embrace.
