The seventh episode of Nobody Wants Season 2 opens with Joanne's dismay at Morgan's engagement to Noah. Morgan, with a radiant "you know, when you know" look, assures her that the relationship feels right. Joanne, however, is not exactly enthusiastic about the wedding, let alone accompanying Morgan on her wedding dress shopping expedition.
Meanwhile, Noah is eagerly anticipating his first day at Temple Ahava, hoping it will be the perfect fit for them. As they leave the house together, ready to conquer their day, Noah soon realizes that Temple Ahava was a misstep. The unconventional vibes and the lack of information about the basic requirements like bringing his own lunch make him realize it's not the right place. Neil and Cami unexpectedly ask Noah to handle the after-school program, and once again, he struggles to connect with the kids.
At the wedding dress store, Joanne speaks to her parents, hoping they can convince Morgan to reconsider her relationship. Her parents, unperturbed by Joanne's concerns, refuse to intervene. Morgan, overhearing their conversation, grows increasingly frustrated. The situation doesn't improve when Joanne decides to try on a dress as well. By the time Morgan finds her perfect dress, the tension in the air is palpable.
Morgan confronts Joanne and demands that she speak out her concerns. Joanne brings up Andy, who knows all about her trauma as her former therapist, while Morgan knows nothing about him. After the shopping spree, Morgan and Joanne return home to record their podcast. The tension is at its peak, and neither of them wants to talk. Joanne starts talking about landlords and lets it slip that she accidentally vomited in the pool and denied it. It cost her landlord a lot of money, but he never found out.
The fight intensifies when Morgan announces she wants Ashley as her maid of honour. Morgan brings up Noah's rules about his privacy, and things escalate rapidly. Morgan accuses Joanne of being jealous that she has no problems of her own. Joanne explains that she doesn't want to see her sister make the same mistake by marrying the wrong guy again. The fight reaches a boiling point, and they decide they need a permanent break.
As Noah returned to his abode, he reached out to Sasha with a heavy heart, confiding in her the realization that he may have made a misstep with Temple Ahava. However, his composure shattered upon Joanne's unexpected arrival, and in a bid to maintain harmony, he uttered a lie, painting a rosy picture of his day. Joanne, too, echoed the lie, her words glistening with falsehoods of her own marvelous day.
