Off Campus – Season 1 Episode 5 1

Garrett and Logan's ad campaign collaboration is marred by Logan's subtle observations of Hannah's adoring gaze towards Garrett, causing an underlying sense of disappointment to linger. As Thanksgiving approaches, Hannah receives a call from her mother, who joyously discusses Garrett's recent game performance, even though the team lost.

Later, Garrett receives a text from Phil, and reluctantly agrees to meet him at the rink. Phil invites Garrett over for Thanksgiving dinner, claiming that Cindy wants to see him and insisting that he's trying to turn over a new leaf. When Garrett shares this with Hannah, she encourages him to give his father another chance, and he in turn invites her to join them for dinner.

Jules asks Logan to visit their mother at rehab, but Logan remains unsympathetic towards her addiction. Back at the house, Tucker's excitement for Thanksgiving leads him to cook an elaborate meal for everyone. Garrett mentions dinner at his parents' place, and Dean casually reveals that he's leaving for a road trip with someone. Tucker is devastated by the news, but Logan offers to help without realizing how intense Tucker's cooking schedule actually is. As Tucker becomes increasingly stressed about cooking for Logan, Jules, and himself, the situation escalates when several unexpected guests arrive for an impromptu Friendsgiving celebration.

Elsewhere, Hannah confides in Allie about Garrett's father and admits to feeling nervous about meeting him. Allie heads back to LA to visit her family, claiming that she's taking a bus, though she secretly sneaks into a car instead.

On the drive to Garrett's family home, Hannah notices how tense Garrett becomes at the thought of seeing Phil and meeting Cindy. She quietly tells him to give her a signal if he wants to leave early. Inside the house, Hannah browses through Garrett's childhood photos while bonding with Cindy over stories about him. The two share laughter and reminiscing moments that leave them both feeling connected in more ways than one.

Later, Hannah and Garrett spent time in his old bedroom, where Garrett spoke candidly about his childhood and the overwhelming pressure of living under Phil's hockey legacy. He admitted to being petrified of losing his own hockey future. Their conversation about family expectations deepened as Hannah opened up more about her mother's struggles. Meanwhile, Allie called Hannah from her parents' house while secretly texting someone else, causing Hannah to suspect she might be reconnecting with Sean.

Back at the house, Tucker completely lost control of the Thanksgiving dinner. At the same time, Jules and Logan continued to argue about their mother. Logan blamed her addiction for destroying their childhood, while Jules insisted that their mother deserved credit for trying to recover. Jules asked Logan to come to rehab with them to deliver food, but Logan refused again.

Despite saying no, Logan eventually showed up at rehab with a meal for their mother. Meanwhile, Tucker's carefully planned Thanksgiving dinner completely fell apart when the group accidentally ruined the turkey. Rather than salvaging dinner, the boys decided to bring the burnt turkey to the ice rink and have some fun with it instead.

At the Graham house, Garrett watched hockey with Phil, who proudly talked about Garrett's future and his chances of being drafted by the Boston Bruins. While exploring the house, Hannah noticed a hole punched into Garrett's bedroom wall and began to understand how deeply Phil's temper had affected him growing up.

During dinner, Garrett noticed a bruise on Cindy's arm while everyone joined hands to say grace. The moment immediately sent him into panic mode. Garrett gave Hannah a signal, and the two quickly left the house together.

On the drive home, Garrett finally confessed the truth about Phil's abuse and admitted that he still blamed himself for failing to protect his mother. He worried that he was turning into his father and broke down while thinking about Cindy. Hannah comforted him and reassured him that he was nothing like Phil as Garrett cried in her arms.

That night, Hannah and Garrett sat together at Malone's, eating cold turkey sandwiches. Hannah gave Garrett an old photo of his mother that she had found in his childhood bedroom. Soon after, Logan and the boys called to wish the couple a happy Thanksgiving. They also called Dean, who answered shirtless from bed. The episode ended with Dean telling Allie that nobody saw her on the call.
