In the season finale of Off Campus Season 1, Episode 8, we find Hannah and Garrett grappling with their breakup as they avoid each other. Hannah soon learns about a campus-wide no-dating rule that supposedly prevents other boys from approaching her, leading her to believe Garrett applied it. Furious, she storms into the locker room and is immediately greeted by several naked hockey players. Garrett eventually explains that he never created the rule and that it started as a stupid rumor, leaving Hannah relieved.

The NCAA, meanwhile, launches an investigation into Garrett's behavior after the fight with Aaron Delaney. The investigation team discovers footage of Garrett skating with Boston Bruins players while still being considered an amateur athlete and rescinds his draft eligibility. Garrett insists the footage came from practice sessions, but the investigators refuse to reconsider the ruling. To make matters worse, Briar University also loses all of its season wins because of Garrett's actions.
The boys struggle to figure out how to keep the team competitive without Garrett and the injured Birdie. Someone suggests recruiting Hunter Davenport, though Dean immediately shuts down the idea. Allie debates texting Dean while discussing her situation with Hannah and reflecting on her supposed no-strings-attached phase.
Later, Allie finally meets Dean in his room. Instead of hooking up, she tells him they need to start sleeping with other people because they accidentally ended up in an undefined monogamous relationship. Allie asks Dean to text her once he sleeps with someone else so they can officially keep things casual.
Jules reveals that Hunter used to attend the same high school as Dean's sister, Summer. Ignoring Dean's objections, Logan asks Tucker to invite Hunter to Malone's later that night.
Back at the dorm, Hannah finally tells Allie the truth about her rape. Later, she runs into Jules at the rink and notices Garrett sitting alone outside practice despite his suspension. Hannah approaches him while he skates and thanks him for helping her reconnect with the version of herself she used to be. She also admits that she dropped out of the pop showcase.
Hannah steps in to help Garrett by reminding him of his genuine love for hockey and urging him to break free from his father's influence. She encourages him to rediscover his passion for the sport and pursue it for himself, not just to please his father.
Later that night, Garrett watches old highlight videos of himself and Logan, and he stumbles upon footage of their fight with Aaron. He notices Logan desperately trying to calm him down during the incident, realizing how supportive Logan has always been. Finally, Garrett opens up to Logan about his struggles with his father's abuse and everything he endured growing up.
Elsewhere, Dean confides in Beau about his feelings for Allie. Beau encourages him to tell her the truth, but Dean refuses, believing that Allie does not actually want a relationship. Meanwhile, Allie unexpectedly runs into the stranger she met at the bar earlier.
Before the next game, Garrett gives a motivational speech to the team despite being suspended. He officially hands the captaincy to Logan and encourages the team to keep fighting without him. From the stands, Garrett watches a young fan wearing his jersey and cheering for the team, while Briar finally starts playing together properly again.
Hannah experiences a breakthrough while listening to music and suddenly finds inspiration for her songwriting again. She asks her advisor to let her rejoin the pop showcase and excitedly texts Allie about the decision. Meanwhile, Allie gets out of bed with the stranger and refuses to exchange names with him before leaving. Later, Allie calls Dean and asks him to convince Garrett to attend Hannah's showcase. Logan also pushes Garrett to show up and support her. During the performance, Hannah pours all her emotions into the song and completely captivates the crowd. She ends up placing second in the showcase.
Outside the venue, Garrett asks Hannah for another chance and hopes they can rebuild their relationship. Hannah forgives him, and they officially get back together.
That night, the group celebrates at Malone's while Jules congratulates Logan on becoming captain. Allie happily congratulates Hannah for earning an internship opportunity that could secure her future at Briar. Soon after, Dean finally admits his feelings to Allie and confesses that he could not sleep with anyone else because he genuinely likes her.
Allie panics and admits that she already slept with someone else. Seconds later, the mystery guy walks into Malone's. Dean is horrified when he realizes Allie hooked up with his arch-nemesis, Hunter Davenport. The season ends with Hunter and Dean fighting each other while Garrett and the boys desperately try to pull them apart.
