Our Movie – K-drama Episode 4 1

In the present, a cast meeting unfolds, marred by Jung-woo and Da-eum's tardiness. Je-ha attempts to fill the awkward silence with half-hearted banter, while Seo-yeong's heart heavy with unresolved feelings, struggles to engage. Despite her best efforts to move on, Je-ha's presence lingers in her thoughts. In a moment of vulnerability, she leans in to kiss him, only to be gently halted by him. Conflicted and alienated from those around her, Seo-yeong ponders if Je-ha holds the key to her emotional well-being. He, however, urges her to refocus on their cinematic endeavor and departs, leaving her adrift.

Elsewhere, Da-eum seeks out Je-ha at his friend Jun-byung's cozy cafe. Rather than addressing the kiss, she apologizes for her seizure and the subsequent awkward encounter involving Seo-yeong. Je-ha's immediate concern for her well-being manifests in a tender embrace, as he inquires about her status. When the conversation turns to Seo-yeong, Je-ha reveals that she has taught him valuable lessons. He emphasizes that he values his actors for their talent alone, but Da-eum labels him a good person nonetheless.

Seung-won, eager to promote the film, pitches an idea for a mysterious cast photoshoot to Je-ha, who readily endorses it. The media bites, eager to uncover the secrets hinted at in their enigmatic poses. Meanwhile, Da-eum endeavors to mend fences with her estranged father, whose anger lingers. Their conversation reaches an impasse; while she refuses to abandon her dreams, she agrees to consider a clinical trial as a compromise.

It transpires that the remake will span three grueling months of filming. To manage her seizures, Dr. Kim escalates her medication, a decision that comes with the trade-off of inducing a foggy mental state. Prior to the table read, a nervous Da-eum confides in Gyu-young about an upcoming kiss scene in the movie, marking her cinematic debut in the art of kissing. Gyu-young, saddened by the notion that her friend's first kiss will be simulated, offers her support. Jun-byung unexpectedly surfaces as Da-eum's manager, much to everyone's surprise, having been enlisted by Je-ha. He adopts a professional demeanor, albeit annoyed when Je-ha reminds him of his primary duty—keeping the press at bay.

Upon Jae-in's arrival, her eyes widened in astonishment as she witnessed Da-eum securing the lead role. An air of resentment seemed to shroud her, hinting at her bitter disposition towards the turn of events. Elsewhere, Seung-won confessed his doubts to Seo-yeong, voicing his lack of trust in Je-ha and Da-eum concerning the film's prospects. Amid his confession, a wave of loneliness washed over him, to which she responded by acknowledging their shared isolation.

The table read commenced, with a visibly jittery Da-eum struggling to get her lines right. However, her spirits were soon lifted by the encouraging words of Jung-woo and Seo-yeong. Meanwhile, Kim Hyun-chul, the actor portraying the father, had battled cancer, a fact Je-ha was keenly aware of as he inquired after his well-being. Their familiarity was evident as Hyun-chul imparted words of wisdom, cautioning Je-ha against letting his father's shadow dampen his creativity. Je-ha was deeply affected to learn that even a colleague had succumbed to the illness during his own hiatus from the industry.

Their paths crossed again with Da-eum, prompting a consultative session where they delved into refining their characters' motivations. When discussing a pivotal scene where the hero abandons the heroine, knowing her fate, Je-ha emphasized the story's bleak romantic tone. Da-eum, however, argued passionately that her monologue should brimming with emotion, serving as a testament to her unwavering love. Je-ha, sticking to his guns, reiterated that their tale was far from hopeful or romantic. As their discussion drew to a close, he issued a stern warning, advising her to steer clear of Jung-woo should he ever discover her illness.

At this very moment, Agent Go appeared, brandishing an array of enticing offers. Despite her polite rejections, Da-eum couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness over the missed opportunities.

Je-ha, having reached a resolution, confronts Jin-yeo, the actress from the original work, regarding his father's plagiarism. To his astonishment, he discovers Da-eum with her. Despite her citing research to justify her presence, Je-ha feels a stab of betrayal. He escorts her back to their abode, attempting to articulate his怒气, only to receive a painkiller in return. Da-eum softly explains that emotional agony can manifest as physical discomfort.

As the film shoot looms closer, Seung-won proposes an excellent, gratis location. However, Je-ha declines, citing the distance as a potential time-sink. Seung-won finds his concern for logistics perplexing.

The kick-off ceremony unfolds, with Jung-woo observing Seo-yeong observing Je-ha, who in turn watches Da-eum. Jung-woo persists in his suggestion for a cast dinner, and Je-ha reluctantly agrees. Jung-woo hosts for Da-eum, Je-ha, and Seo-yeong, during which Jung-woo and Seo-yeong notice the closeness between Da-eum and Je-ha. Seo-yeong finds it peculiar that Da-eum abstains from alcohol, inquiring if she is unwell. Je-ha's protective demeanor annoys Seo-yeong, who, in turn, makes Jung-woo jealous with her glances at Je-ha. Jung-woo reveals that he and Seo-yeong are dating to defuse the tension.

After Da-eum and Je-ha depart, Seo-yeong is visibly upset. Jung-woo apologizes and embraces her, but she remains stiff, offering no reciprocation.

Before their parting, Da-eum poses a poignant question to Je-ha: what is it like for the hero to kiss the heroine when love is absent? Je-ha, flustered, promises to respond later. He jokes that she can use him as her sounding board for all her inquiries and then leaves.

The fourth episode of Our Movie concludes with rain pouring down. Da-eum appears at Je-ha's doorstep, seeking companionship. Though he worries she might fall ill, she persuades him to indulge in a fleeting moment of playfulness in the rain. She kisses him, stating she is using him as he suggested. He responds with a kiss of his own.
