Our Unwritten Seoul – K-drama Episode 6 1

Arriving late to work, Mi-ji is greeted by Tae-i, who thoughtfully provides her with a hangover remedy. This gesture, warm and considerate, serves as a heartening reminder of their heart-to-heart conversation at the bar the night before.

As Mi-ji departs, Ho-su finds himself entangled in Ji-yun's persistent attentions. She leads him to a restaurant, where she Snapchats their moments and hints at future escapades, oblivious to his obvious lack of romantic interest. Undeterred, Ji-yun even boldly claims Ho-su under the guise of addressing Mi-ji (whom she believes to be Mi-rae).

Earlier, the Director takes Mi-ji to a critical landowner meeting alongside Gyeong-min. The inept manager stumbles over his words, struggling to assert himself. Seizing the moment, Mi-ji effortlessly steals the spotlight from Gyeong-min, leaving him humiliated. Her diligent work on the project, despite Gyeong-min's criticism, has ultimately positioned her brilliantly in this meeting.

Post-work, the misunderstanding saga persists when Ji-yun drops by Ho-su's place to retrieve her bag, with Mi-ji still grappling with the aftermath of their night together. Flashbacks reveal a harmless scenario: Mi-ji dozing off on Ho-su's shoulder, only for him to chivalrously escort her back to his place. There's a hint of something deeper lurking beneath the surface, but we'll save that revelation for the episode's climax.

Elsewhere, Mi-rae succumbs to the allure of her bed after quitting her job at the strawberry farm. Her somber demeanor is impossible to miss, leaving her mother and Gyeong-gu perplexed and concerned as they strive in vain to reach out to her.

Mi-rae shies away from the whispers circulating about her rumored romance with Se-jin, a factor that partly contributes to her decision to resign. Plagued by worry and anxiety, she later confides in Mi-ji during a phone conversation. Surprisingly, Mi-rae reveals her intention to revert her resignation the following week, leaving Mi-ji utterly taken aback. This sudden change of heart is partly fueled by her work project with the returning Park, who is soon to be back in the office. There seems to be an unspoken tension between them, though the exact nature of their interaction remains a mystery.

Meanwhile, Mi-ji is thrust into a whirlwind when Lee Chung-gu storms in, eager to discuss Ro-sa and the HQ Project. He hands her a confidential file, detailing the construction of an LRT station at the new headquarters site. This monumental project carries a strict confidentiality clause, adding to the already tense atmosphere — particularly with the looming reversal of her resignation and her moral dilemma about disclosing the truth to Ro-sa.

Her internal conflict deepens when she learns that Ho-su and Ji-yun will be attending a wedding together that weekend. Seung-hyeon calls, suggesting they join them, and though hesitant, she reluctantly agrees. Just as she's grappling with this new development, Ho-su calls, requesting a meeting to return her watch, which she inadvertently left at his place the previous night.

As they sit together in deep conversation, Mi-ji delves into the quandary concerning Ro-sa's building and the hush-hush plans brewing in the background. Ho-su, sensing the peril, urges her to drop the matter when it slips from her lips, warning her of the potential catastrophic consequences and emphasizing the necessity of her silence.

At her workplace, Mi-ji's demeanor grows increasingly uneasy, exacerbated by her suspicion that Ro-sa might also be harboring undisclosed secrets from her university days. For the moment, she feigns ignorance around Chung-gu, but this impending revelation looms large on the horizon, promising to unfold in the episodes to come!

Speaking of concealed truths, the wedding proceeds with all the guests in attendance... but a wrinkle emerges. Not only is Mi-ji invited, but so is Mi-rae. And it is at this juncture that secrets are unveiled. When Gyung-gu "absconds" with Mi-rae, coercing her to accompany him, he casually mentions that he's secured them a hotel room together. Mi-rae is furious, asserting their boundaries and decrying the impropriety. Unbeknownst to Mi-rae, Gyung-gu is gay, a fact that will be dramatically spilled in the open.

Not only has Mi-ji been privy to Gyung-gu's sexual orientation, but Ho-su too is aware. Flashing back to their school days, Seung-hyeon goaded Gyeong-gu into making a public confession of his feelings to Mi-ji, but Ho-su advised against it. Gyeong-gu ignored Ho-su's counsel, and instead, Seung-hyeon surreptitiously recorded the entire ordeal, relishing in the mockery and rejection of Gyeong-gu's proposal. Loyal to a fault, Ho-su laid into Seung-hyeon in the classroom, delivering a beatdown.

Back at the wedding, Seung-hyeon spews venom about Gyeong-gu and Mi-ji at the dining table, ultimately prompting our protagonist to abandon the festivities and call Ho-su. Ironically, when Ji-yun attempts to intercept him, citing the twins' identity switch, he brushes it off nonchalantly, revealing that he's already in the know.

It transpired that during that intoxicating evening at his place, Mi-ji, in her inebriated state, replied to Ho-su with her own name, thereby clarifying the reason behind his sudden realization. Mi-ji had harbored feelings for him and his endearingly naive demeanor all along, a truth that had eluded her until that very moment.

As they embarked on their journey back home, Mi-rae diverged to the strawberry farm, where she found Se-jin battling the relentless downpour. Earlier in the episode, whispers of impending inclement weather had circulated, setting the scene. She gently urged him to seek refuge indoors with her. He cautioned that sharing the night under the same roof would only stoke the flames of gossip surrounding them, but Mi-rae confessed that this farm was the only place where she felt authentic, at least in her heart.

Se-jin, acknowledging his own sentiments, admitted that he rather liked the rumors linking them, which amounted to a heartfelt confession of love in its own right. Their gazes locked as the episode drew to a romantic close, leaving their feelings hanging in the air, as fresh and pure as the rain-soaked strawberries around them.
