The episode kicks off by painting a vivid picture of how Rhys Simpson (portrayed by Garran Howell) and Kenny Davies (played by Josef Altin) first crossed paths, 18 months prior, in a humble chicken shop. Rhys found himself in a predicament, unable to foot the bill for his meal. Generously, Kenny stepped in, not only covering the cost but also escorting Rhys to the historic Raglan Castle. There, Kenny tasked Rhys with identifying Bunny (Joshua McCord). Once the recognition was made, Kenny cunningly led Rhys into a secluded woodland area, where he brutally assaulted him with a baseball bat, leaving him severely injured.

Later, Kenny (alias Garmon Rhys) brings Sadie Simpson (Carly-Sophia Davies) and Johnny Williams (Louis Ashbourne Serkis) to a clandestine money-counting den concealed within a Pacific Nails salon. As he tallies the payment, it doesn't escape his notice that the amount is short, to which Sadie attributes it to a sluggish weekend. Kenny, incensed by this revelation, is further agitated by Rhys's absence, preventing him from directly confronting the issue. Just as Kenny prepares to vent his frustration on Johnny, Sadie interrupts with news that Bunny is back in business, and Rhys is attempting to thwart his operations. This news transforms Kenny's demeanor instantaneously; he even contacts Khalad Rogan (Waj Ali) to restock Sadie's supplies. While instructing her that Rhys is a lucrative asset, he warns her that this must remain a solitary transaction.

After exiting the nail salon, Johnny receives a call from Nathan Williams (Martin Clunes), inquiring about his swim practice. Johnny discloses that they ventured out for fish and chips post-pool closure. He then seeks permission to visit a teammate's place, assuring Nathan that his father will chauffeur him back home. Nathan grants his request.

Meanwhile, Scott Foley (Michael Obiora) makes an unannounced visit to Nathan's abode, probing about a missing USB drive. He also confesses to orchestrating the drone incident and his initial curiosity regarding Nathan's property during his rental inquiry. As it transpires, Scott is a real estate facilitator who scouts potential properties and connects them with suitable buyers. He remains tight-lipped about the mysterious party interested in Nathan's land. Scott has even deduced that Nathan shares his property with Owen Thomas (Michael Elwyn). He presents an offer to purchase Nathan's farm, though Nathan declines to commit immediately.

Elsewhere, Kenny dials Dan (Garmon Rhys) at Raglan Castle, enquiring about Rhys or Bunny's whereabouts. Dan reveals he caught a glimpse of Bunny earlier but hasn't encountered Rhys. Shortly thereafter, Kenny reconvenes with Sadie and Johnny at the bus stop, offering them a lift. He steers them to Raglan Castle, where he briefly discusses Bunny and Rhys with Dan before inquiring about the availability of a suite.

Nathan reappears at the party where he had previously trailed Robyn (played by Cat Simmons). Upon discovering the identity of the drone operator wearing the red raincoat in the USB video footage, he strides indoors to confront her, but unexpectedly encounters Caleb Williams (portrayed by Mark Lewis Jones). Instead of denying his conversation with Scott or his espionage on Nathan, Caleb admits that he only imparted to Scott information that was publicly accessible. After a tense exchange, Caleb eventually concedes to having made a mistake. Nathan endeavors to ascertain who Scott is working for, but Caleb remains in the dark. Robyn enters the discussion at this juncture, suggesting it could be a case of a third-party acquisition. She elucidates how major multinational corporations often employ third-party agents to purchase land on their behalf, as they themselves are frequently not welcome in such dealings.

As Nathan and Caleb's conversation shifts from business to Johnny, Kenny introduces Sadie and Johnny to the suit, where he attempts to exploit Sadie's vulnerability. Johnny steps in, stabbing Kenny repeatedly. Shortly thereafter, Johnny contacts Nathan to inform him of the incident. Fortunately, Nathan is still with Caleb, as he becomes momentarily disoriented, prompting Caleb to take charge. Before they realize it, Caleb has devised a plan to discreetly dispose of the body. When they arrive at the location, Nathan hesitates and considers calling the police, but Caleb persuades him otherwise. Caleb assists Nathan in loading the body, while Sadie and Johnny clean up the room. Sadie makes a point to stop by the reception desk to bid farewell to Dan before departing.

Later that evening, as Nathan drops Sadie off at her home, he apologizes for her ordeal and invites her to spend some time on the farm if she desires. Upon entering, Rhys is furious and nearly assaults Sadie for her prolonged absence, but his anger intensifies when she reveals the incident involving Kenny. He claims that she has doomed them all. Meanwhile, Nathan and Caleb dispose of the body, with Johnny waiting in the truck. At one point, Johnny briefly exits the vehicle to observe the proceedings more closely. After depositing the body in a ventilation shaft, they incinerate Kenny's car.

As Nathan, Caleb, and Johnny step back onto the farm, Eva Bartosz (portrayed by Natalia Kostrzewa) arrives punctually for her shift. Johnny heads inside to freshen up and change his clothes, prompting Nathan to express his gratitude to Caleb. To Nathan's astonishment, Caleb almost accuses him of neglecting Johnny in favor of the farm, suggesting that had he been more attentive, he would have foreseen the impending situation. Regardless, Caleb insists that Nathan must be present for Johnny, as he will undoubtedly seek solace in conversation soon. Meanwhile, Robyn arrives to pick up Caleb, while Nathan proceeds to burn Johnny's clothing. In the midst of this somber task, his phone rings; it's Alice Williams (played by Mia Tomlinson), whose call he hastily dismisses to return his focus to the crackling flames.

Khalad makes his way to Raglan Castle, intent on questioning Dan about Kenny's whereabouts. Dan recounts the entire incident, yet Khalad remains skeptical until they review the security footage. Unfortunately, the castle's interior cameras offer a limited view. Elsewhere, Michelle (portrayed by Catrin Powell) from Pacific Nails meets with a mysterious man, who subtly coerces her into stepping into Kenny's shoes. He further threatens that if she secures him the warehouse, her obligations will be fulfilled.

PC Jane Crowther (played by Eiry Thomas) is in the midst of recounting her meeting with DCI Neil Anderson (portrayed by Jack Parry-Jones) to her husband, Malcolm Crowther (Patrick Brennan), when an anonymous call interrupts. The male caller, cloaked in secrecy, reports suspicious activity. With this intriguing cliffhanger, the episode draws to a close.
