Elsewhere, Johnny Williams (Louis Ashbourne Serkis) experiences a moment of panic upon waking and not immediately locating his father, Nathan Williams (Martin Clunes). However, his anxiety soon subsides as he eventually finds Nathan and everything returns to normal.

Meanwhile, Rhys (Garran Howell) and Sadie Simpson (Carly-Sophia Davies) hatch a scheme to act as though nothing untoward has occurred. Elsewhere, Ersin Turuk (played by Silas Carson) is in the midst of dropping his daughter Selma (Priya Blackburn) off at college when he takes a call from Sandra (Lowri Palfrey) regarding the disappearance of Kenny Davies (Josef Altin). He cautions her to be discreet over the phone but assures her that he will bring Kenny home safely.

As DCI Neil Anderson (Jack Parry-Jones) and his fellow officers gear up to raid Pacific Nails, Rhys stabs Bunny (Joshua McCord) at Raglan Castle. Simultaneously, when Anderson and his team storm the nail salon, Khalad Rogan (Waj Ali) and an accomplice attempt to flee. In the ensuing chaos, Khalad is wounded, while Di Glen Hughes (Kai Owen) pursues the other man, who eventually gets knocked out of a window and plunges two stories onto a car below.

Out of the blue, Caleb Williams (Mark Lewis Jones) shows up at the Williams' farm, astonished that Nathan hasn't checked in. Upon seeing Johnny, Caleb informs Nathan that the young boy is traumatized and in need of someone to confide in. Nathan replies that he asks Johnny every day if he wants to talk, but claims that Johnny simply wants to move past the incident. Caleb urges Nathan to tell Johnny that he did a brave thing.

Later at the farm, Eva Bartosz (Natalia Kostrzewa) impresses Nathan by asking to borrow his shotgun. A fox has gotten caught in a trap in the hen house at Owens Thomas' (Michael Elwyn) place, and she needs to put it out of its misery..

Detective Jane (played by Eiry Thomas) and Malcolm Crowther (portrayed by Patrick Brennan) find themselves glued to the television at home, witnessing Anderson's press briefing regarding the raid on the nail salon. Meanwhile, Nathan, on his way to drop Johnny off at school, mentions casually that Johnny had left his phone grip behind at the quarry. Upon Nathan's arrival at the quarry, he discovers Jane already there, having responded to an anonymous tip. Nathan expresses his gratitude to Jane for picking Johnny up outside the Raglan and affording him another opportunity. Following a brief exchange, Jane reveals her progress in tracing the chassis number back to Kenny and unearths a fragment of a shower curtain, speculating it was used to conceal a body.

Elsewhere, Khalad strives to reach out for assistance, while Nathan and Pavel (Marcin Zarzeczny) arrange to contact the vet due to one of their livestock refusing food. As Nathan steps inside to fetch his phone, he overhears Eva in a heated discussion with her landlord about the malfunctioning boiler. The conversation abruptly halts with the arrival of Scott Foley (Michael Obiora), who makes a million-dollar offer for the farm and almost brazenly accuses Nathan's father of swindling the water rights from Owen. Nathan remains noncommittal, allowing Scott to depart without a handshake.

Later, Nathan sits at home, engrossed in the latest news report about the drug raid, when his eyes catch sight of Khalad, recognizing him from the furniture warehouse where he and Johnny had once test-driven the tractor. After Eva provides a concise explanation of how drug operations are conducted, Nathan begins to suspect that the furniture warehouse serves as the main stash for narcotics. Driven by this hunch, Nathan heads back to the warehouse to verify his suspicions. Coincidentally, Ersin arrives to interrogate Khalad about Kenny's disappearance and the raid. Following Ersin's grim revelation that the injured policeman from the raid has succumbed to his injuries, he instructs Khalad to tidy up the mess. Ersin then offers to assist Khalad in any way possible, prompting Khalad to mention his sister back home. After extending his condolences, Ersin exits, gesturing to his subordinate to eliminate Khalad.

In the serene confines of the barn, where the scent of hay mingles with the earthy aroma of horses, Nathan finds himself engaged in conversation with Alice Williams, voiced by Mia Tomlinson, when her call interrupts his tranquil moment. Meanwhile, Johnny discreetly messages Sadie, inquiring about a potential meeting later, only to receive a polite but firm rejection due to her prior commitments.

Shortly thereafter, Nathan leads Johnny to the verdant pasture where the horses graze lazily, posing a poignant question: how would Johnny feel if they decided to part ways with the farm one day? Johnny responds with a nonchalance that belies a deeper sentiment, expressing that while he wouldn't be overly perturbed, he would cherish the memories, particularly those intertwined with his late mother.

Elsewhere, Jane makes an unannounced visit to Raglan Castle, confronting Dan, portrayed by Garmon Rhys, with a question about a missing shower ring or curtain. As the phone rings out, summoning Dan, Jane takes it upon herself to explore the hotel's premises. Catching up with her on the second floor, Dan remarks on the pungent scent of bleach pervading the air. When he mentions the lack of a warrant for her intrusion, Jane brandishes the shower curtain as evidence and attempts to coerce him into divulging details about Kenny's recent stay.

Nathan's bank manager, aware of the weighty decision looming over him, tentatively suggests that securing a mortgage on his farm could provide the funds necessary to purchase Owen's farm. Yet, he cautions against this path, repeating his advice. Undeterred by the manager's reservations, Nathan persists, prompting the manager to inquire about his motives. Nathan unravels the tale of his father's clandestine agreement with Owen, revealing the underlying purpose behind the acquisition of the water rights. The manager listens with disapproval but refrains from further comment.

While Jane scrutinizes surveillance footage from the fateful night Kenny met his demise, Nathan ventures to the hospital to visit Gwen Thomas, played by Sharon Morgan. Gwen confides in him that Gethin, portrayed by Gareth David-Lloyd, has examined the books, leaving her with no choice but to sell the farm. Nathan, sensing her reluctance, offers a comforting ear and asks about her plans. She expresses a yearning to stay at home, to which Nathan promptly responds with an offer to buy the farm from her. As if on cue, Gethin and Scott make their entrance, adding an unexpected twist to the conversation. In the aftermath, Nathan chivalrously offers Gwen a ride back to the farm, the scene unfolding with a poignant blend of hope and uncertainty.

Upon Ersin's visit to Raglan Castle to scrutinize the surveillance recordings, he promptly discerns that the individual steering Kenny's car bears no resemblance to Kenny himself. Dan then enlightens him about Johnny and Sadie, filling in the blanks. As the day progresses, Nathan leads Eva to Sabine's barn, extending a warm invitation for her to relocate there the following day if she so desires. Eva, ever graceful, embraces the offer with heartfelt gratitude.

Shortly after Sadie steps through her front door, fresh from school, a knock sounds, echoing through the hallway. Rhys, his complexion nearly draining of color upon glimpsing the visitor, steels himself and answers the door. In the blink of an eye, both he and Sadie are hurried into Ersin's vehicle, their destination未知 yet urgent. The episode concludes with the trio en route to Johnny's abode, leaving the audience on a cliffhanger of anticipation.
