The following morning, Caleb's phone rings, and it's Scott Foley (Michael Obiora) on the other end, inquiring whether Nathan intends to sell the farm. Scott's mood sours when Caleb informs him that he, Caleb, is purchasing the adjacent farm instead. Meanwhile, at Owen Thomas’s (Michael Elwyn) funeral, attended by Nathan and Gwen Thomas (Sharon Morgan), DCI Neil Anderson (Jack Parry-Jones) and the police discover the body of Khalad (Waj Ali). Jane makes an appearance at the funeral, thanking Nathan for the lamb while simultaneously informing him that Malcolm Crowther (Patrick Brennan) caught him snooping around her office. She further announces her intention to deploy cadaver dogs at the mine on Monday.

After Jane's visit, Nathan unburdens himself to Caleb about Ersin Turuk (Silas Carson) and the farm. As they return to the farm to devise a strategy, Nazar (Waleed Elgadi) barges in with the news that the vet has arrived at Gwen's farm. The vet advises Nathan to euthanize the inconclusive animals and market the remainder of the herd.

Elsewhere, a group of drug addicts descend upon Rhys Simpson's (Garran Howell) place, smashing his windows in the misconception that he's withholding drugs from them. Simultaneously, Nathan and Eva Bartosz (Natalia Kostrzewa) watch DCI Anderson's news report on the discovery of Khalad's body and his war on drugs. Bunny (Joshua McCord), seizing the opportunity now that Rhys's supply has dwindled, offers him a job. When Rhys shows up at the designated time at Raglan Castle, he's ambushed.

Ersin's mood soured when Nathan appeared to impart news of Jane, yet he still lent an ear to Nathan's scheme to eliminate both her and DCI Anderson. Soon afterward, Nathan disclosed to Jane his sighting of Khalad at the garden warehouse, prompting Jane to stake out the warehouses. Meanwhile, Rhys, his face smeared with blood from a recent altercation, stumbled into the school and begged Sadie to return home with him. Parallel to this, Jane trailed a clue from the warehouse to a pizza parlor.

As Scott Foley, visibly distressed, arrived at Gwen's farm, Nathan hastily visited Caleb, accusing him of spilling the beans to Scott about his intention to purchase Gwen's property. Caleb, unable to refute the charge, apologized for his premature disclosure. Just then, Robyn (Cat Simmons) joined the fray, enlightening Nathan on her findings concerning Scott.

DCI Anderson and Jane executed a raid on the warehouse, seizing a considerable stash of narcotics. Nathan and Eva, later in the evening, caught the news report detailing the operation. The following morning, Johnny Williams (Louis Ashbourne Serkis) brought up Sadie's visit to the farm and her decision to stay, prompting Nathan to acknowledge that it was a matter requiring further contemplation. He then purportedly set off for dinner with Nigel, but instead, he met with Ersin to commemorate their victory.

During the dinner, Ersin casually revealed to Nathan that he was aware of Caleb's knowledge about their operation. Despite this unforeseen revelation, Ersin seemed to have other plans for Nathan in mind. Meanwhile, Nathan and Eva proceeded to the docks to collect their consignment.

Eva looks worried and warns Nathan that should they be caught at the docks, their fate would seal a lengthy prison sentence. Nathan brushes aside such a grim prospect with utter disdain. As Nathan and Eva venture toward the docks, Caleb, Hakan (Atilla Akkinci), and Nazar embark on a grim mission to retrieve Kenny Davies's (Josef Altin) remains. Along their journey, Nathan and Eva detect Scott tailing them discreetly. Nathan seizes an opportunity at a roadwork site, forcing Scott to exit his vehicle before maneuvering the colossal truck into the front of Scott's car and speeding away.

Upon Nathan's arrival at the docks, he successfully secures the load, whereas Caleb and his companions descend into the mine depths, where they uncover Kenny's lifeless body. Elsewhere, Johnny checks on Sadie, only to learn from Rhys that it was Sadie's cunning plan to deceive him with the parcel. Johnny doesn't take this revelation, nor Rhys's taunting, lightly, yet he leaves the scene without further incident.

Just as Nathan returns to the farm with his illicit cargo from the docks, Jane attempts to persuade Bunny to switch sides, but he steadfastly refuses. That evening, Caleb, Nathan, Johnny, and Eva sit down to dinner when Alice Williams (Mia Tomlinson) unexpectedly joins them. Her inquiry into their recent happenings is met with an almost eerie silence, broken only by Nathan's polite offer of a drink.

The following day, Johnny seeks Nathan's counsel on how to rid themselves of Ersin and his men. Nathan's response is a matter-of-fact one: they'll play the part of compliant farmers, feigning all is well while biding their time for the adversaries to make a slip-up. The series concludes on a harrowing note, with Bunny's lifeless body serving as a grim testament to the unfolding drama.
