Paatal Lok – Season 2 Episode 6 1

Amidst the presence of corrupt police officers in Nagaland, Meghna decides to bring Chaudhary along to the hospital where Rose is currently under medical care. The duo finds themselves at a dead-end, with no leads on the shooter responsible for the attack. Worse yet, a shoot-to-kill order has been issued for Reuben as well, adding to the mounting tension.

Unbeknownst to Meghna and Chaudhary, Daniel lurks outside the hospital, keeping a close watch for an opportunity to strike. He snapshots the scene discreetly and bides his time, waiting for the perfect moment.

Chaudhary's investigation soon uncovers a link between Reuben and the Reddy family, specifically their hotel business. Intriguingly, it seems that Kapil Reddy was in the midst of selling his hotel chains and planning to abandon Nagaland altogether. This revelation adds another layer of complexity to the already tangled web of intrigue.

There must be a profound reason lurking beneath the surface, prompting Chaudhary to rope in Virk into this intricate case, in a desperate bid to unravel the hidden connections. This development only fortifies Chaudhary's conviction, reinforcing his belief that Reuben could never have been the one to slay Bajoria. Alas, fate conspires against them as Daniel inadvertently leaks Rose's whereabouts to the media, sparking a firestorm of chaos outside the hospital. In droves, Thom's fervent supporters converge, turning the scene into a volatile powder keg. With the verdict on Rose's guilt or innocence in Jonathan's demise still hanging in the balance, the situation is precariously delicate, even prompting soldiers to barricade the roads.

Undeterred by the uproar, Chaudhary storms into the hospital, racing against time to reach Rose. However, the scene outside descends into a melodramatic fiasco when James, one of the officers, fatally shoots a youth amidst the throng. This act inflames the crowd's restlessness and aggression, pushing them to the brink.

Meghna seizes one of the party supporters within the hospital, but their efforts seem futile against the mounting chaos. As tensions escalate, Daniel arrives on the scene, shattering the barricades and enabling the protesters to pour inside. With Rose's life dangling by a thread and few viable options left, they opt for a daring escape through the rear. The stakes are incredibly high; Rose cannot survive without a ventilator for more than ten minutes, necessitating a standby ambulance.

Chaudhary braves the fray, warding off protesters to create a pathway for their retreat. He nearly falls into captivity while buying precious moments for the others, but manages to leap into the ambulance at the eleventh hour, narrowly escaping capture.

The heart-stopping escape underscores the urgency and danger surrounding Rose's case, painting a vivid picture of a world where justice and chaos are intricately intertwined.

As we undergo treatment for our wounds, we uncover vital intelligence that had previously eluded us. Recall how Esther hastily exited the bar, casually mentioning her uric acid condition—a malady that inflames her legs and induces a limp whenever she indulges too heavily in alcohol. And then there was the homeless man's testimony, his words echoing in our minds, detailing a limping figure at the station. Could this limping individual be none other than Esther? And might this revelation hold the key to the mystery of the missing funds?

Chaudhary, seemingly convinced of this connection, marches to her doorstep, demanding clarity. Under his probing gaze, Esther confesses that Rose was remitting money for her child. Despite her best intentions to help Rose kick her drug habit, fear of Thom loomed large. Rose was terrified that Thom, unaware of his illegitimate offspring, would murder both her and the baby. She fled to Delhi in search of work, vowing to return for Jane but never doing so.

Three weeks prior, Rose called, revealing plans to secure a substantial sum of money. She pledged to cross the border and reclaim Jane. This clarifies her intended companion across the border—not Raghu, but her own motherly instincts. When Esther visited Rose, she found her prone, surrounded by drugs, and lost all hope in her ever being capable of nurturing her child.

It transpires that the money was not dispatched by Jonathan Thom but by his wife, Asenla. She, too, is entangled with Grace Reddy, her resentment towards her deep-seated due to Grace's long-kept affair with Thom. Desperate and jobless, Rose blackmailed Asenla into compliance.

As the episode draws to a close, Reuben, in his hiding place, decides to take a leap of faith and reach out to Chaudhary.
